TW3 was full of bullshit filler anyway, so no loss if they strip some of that out. But I'm expecting there will still be loads of filler, just less main plot meat between it.
Every preview so far has mentioned that the game is truly a RPG. And if you're expecting something else going in, you're gonna have a bad time.
Also if you know German and have some free time, check the preview from Gamestar.de, it's one of the best things I've read in a long time and it got me even more hyped.

No problemo, it's typical behaviour for some sites to put up articles for free for some time to get people to share them and then - bam! - paywalled.
I really enjoyed reading gamestar from time to time but this year the paywalling got out of control,. And they lied about it they said they're not gonna paywall reviews and then they did it anyway.
Impressed by the story, as well as animation quality
Little cynical, as far as I can tell, worried about repeating other Open World mistakes
Wonderful German cast Vocabulary can be confusing (cyberware vs cyberdeck)
Soft level gating (too tough enemies have red skulls over their head, no levels)
World feels alive (gives an example with a monk)
Doll houses explained (which is honestly really creepy)
The game makes everyone human, even the psychos
Don't expect all choices to be a dialogue option. They can be the actions you take too (such as the way you traversed a mission)
Tutorial isn't that great, there is a lot of information to give
Extensive systems with deep exploration with each
Found melee combat impressive
Not just click and swing. Charge, swing, lung, parry are mechanics tied to stamina
Weapons can be modded (add fire damage for example)
NOT a shooter
Good AI in combat
Crafting system 'unspectacular at least visually'
Warns that they weren't that far in to get the full depth
"My look was based on values rather than style" (fixed armor values on items)
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Hope there's at least some degree of visual changes, if only the stats change that's not really acceptable these days. Minor nitpick in the grand scheme of things, of course, but it makes crafting more rewarding.

They made an exception for that article and put it for free for 24 hours, because the hype about the game is that big. Usually that article wouldn't be free to read at all.

I read some parts of the article and it's not "Gothic crafting" in their words - you can craft anywhere, you don't have to visit a crafting station. So I guess he means there are no crafting animations because it only happens in the menu?!

My understanding is they are referring to crafting being menu-based, not something like, say, Fallen Order, where you visually mess about a bit with parts.
Weird sheet, a 3070 and 3080 don't differ that much performance wise, but you can can only 4k with rtx with an 3080?? I wonder if they have even tested this.
We have to wait and see when the game comes out how it realy performes.
Wouldn't be surprised this is for 30fps though.

Its substantially more powerfull. Its almost 40% faster on average, at 4k, than the 3070. The difference is enormous. There are games where the gap is mind blowing. 3080 is 67% faster in Resident Evil 3. 59% faster in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. 51% faster in Doom Eternal.

No it isn't. I'm not a hardware nut or something but this is the first google link i found
only 20-25 % or so better for a 3080 compared to a 3070. True, older games, few have rtx features. But both cards are in the same league. While the gap between 2k and 4k is huge.
Yes, it is. I took the results from actual websites that have tested them. Let me know if you desire links. Its not 20%, its almost 40, as i've said. That video is bullshit. There are a lot of noname channels on youtube where you just get an intro and some slides or some random footage of videogames and they plaster some results over there, usually that have nothing in common with what more established sites get. They're just inventing results and make videos for traffic, they dont have the cards.
When i gave you the 40% faster and those more detailed results for Resident Evil and Doom i didnt pull them out of my ass, i looked at the website and what they got at 4k. Its 40%, not 20. Meaning the difference between a 3070 and a 3080 is extremely large. Enough that a game could be barelly playable on the 3070 and doing 60 on the 3080
