I don't need any specifics. Will it be something that I will notice when I am awake? Will there be national news? Or will it be as televised as someone taking a dump in their garden?
I was curious to understand why December 21 2020. Some of the links you posted still had 2012 in the url, back when it was still the Maya's prediction, which gave me some idea what to expect
Far as I can tell, the only person peddling it outside of 4Chan (though it’s 4chan, I don’t know how much of that is ironic trolling and how much is unironic schizophrenic talk) is the guy who created it- Aaron Doughty. There’s like one or two other people out there, but he’s the one who’s really trying to sell it. According to him, it was planned for 2012, and he was also suggesting 2017 and 2019 as potential years it could happen too.
Outside of him, the people who follow him and 4chan (who again, is probably following this ironically to some extent), most people don’t buy into it, because that’s not how literally anything works. We still know next to nothing about how our sun operates and more importantly, when it could unleash something onto us. Not only that, but the Bible states that literally no one knows when the Earth will end except for God, I’m willing to bet that there’s at least 5 reasons why this December was chosen:
a) the conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn happens on that date, and as this hasn’t happened in centuries, people have their own ideas as to what’ll happen that day, be it a Grand Solar Flash, a massive Earthquake or some other disaster.
b) It’s 2020, with all the turmoil going on, and all the stuff that’s happened with the increase of both Earthquakes and Hurricanes in frequency and intensity, COVID-19, and asteroid spottings (we’ve already had 2 dates- April 29th and November 2nd - as potential end time dates by some), what’s one more possible end of the world scenario to add to the list.
c) the hype of the sun’s new solar cycle has people, specifically of the non-astronomer type, curious as to what’ll exactly happen. I’ve seen predictions of a GSF happening in 2025 for example, so again, this is nothing new.
d) The Hoopla from back in June of 2020 being 2012 is probably still resonating in some people, and as December 21 will be the 8th year anniversary of the infamous “End Days” date, what better way than to hype up another one of these so-called prophecies? It’s somewhat of a early tradition for these people, like how 2017 was the 5th anniversary and they thought Nibiru would return. This is basically that, but with the real fears of CMEs instead of rouge planets.
e) any one, or all, of the above combined.
I can tell you right now that this whole thing is part of the overall conspiracy of “QAnon” as well. So I wouldn’t worry over it too much. If it happens, it happens and there’s nothing we can do about it. But I’m pretty certain it won’t.
