With the right settings, for me it runs at 1440p60+. Don’t crank everything to the top. I can share my settings, if you want.

Do it.

With TAA on medium and MSAA off, the game isn't blurry for you? It drives me nuts.

You can enable the sharpening if you want. Personally software image looks better to man than one with sharpening artifacts, or one with terrible jaggies. No modern MSAA gets rid of shimmering jaggies as effective as TAA.

Posted mine a while back in the appropriate place, Wink all good on a 1080ti. Fullscreen mode though, forget 'borderless' if your GSync lol. It amazes me how many folks do not know how to set that up? Always 'normal' vsync - 'ON' in control panel, 'OFF' in game, just make sure you cap to just below your monitors refresh, aka, mine is 144, so I set 143, or if you run Afterburner, it does it for you Wink

I don't know if it's related to crack issues or sth but this is one of the buggiest experience in recent years for me. One of the major bugs (among dozens small ones) I encountered is being stuck while camping out in the wilderness. It started when some inbred guy came to warm himself by the campfire followed by his friend pointing gun to my head. I couldn't do nothing, they just came and left after a sec leaving me stuck. Restarted game reloading autosave couple of times and the game bugged all out, only camera panning and walking still worked, all menus and button inputs stopped working. I needed to restart whole system to be able to continue playing.

Red Dead Redemption 2 [DODI Repack] - 83GB
1h30 to install from a usb3.0 hdd to an M2 SSD, on a Ryzen 5 4600h Everything Went Better Than Expected
With a 1650ti, with most options at medium and at 1080p it gives me a 45fps average on the benchmark and it looks amazing.

Get Red Dead Online as a Standalone Game on December 1st.

For the first time, new players who do not already own Red Dead Redemption 2 can experience everything Red Dead Online has to offer, including access to all future content updates.

Red Dead Online – the vibrant, ever-evolving world where you can take on a range of unique roles and pursuits to blaze your own outlaw trail across the American frontier – will be available to purchase as a standalone game from the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Games Launcher, Epic Games Store and Steam on December 1st.

Doesn't make much sense to me but oh well.

That means that they can and will heavily discount the single player part.

To me this says more like "you played single player on console, but would like to play Online on PC? Here is a cheaper alternative, so you can continue spending moneyz on DLC on PC".

It makes more sense to release GTA5 Online as a standalone, at least it has enough content to keep people playing. Checked a few RDR2 online videos and it seemed dead.

RDO development has been utterly shit so they've no one but themselves to blame (and sure arguably it's in a better state than GTAO was two years into its run, but this stuff doesn't exist in a vacuum and expectations have increased since). It's a vicious cycle of
poor and stale content -> less players active -> less money coming in -> less dev manpower dedicated to RDO -> poor and stale content

Apparently the RDO portion will cost 5$ when released on 1st of December.

The promotion will last until February 2021.

@Yondaime... I think I agree with everything you said pretty much... Except for the giving up part. The slow walk thru camp is annoying, for sure. And, although it may not seem so at first thought, I think that "feature" is heavily tied to your other complaint - - the slow loot animation. The glue - - realism. Like flipping thru a catalog to purchase items (yeah, you can also walk from shelf to shelf as well), or a quick 5 min detour to take a bath cuz you feel off your house. Sometimes, too much realism borders on frustratingly mundane.

Don't get me wrong, I really love the attention to detail. Rockstar kills in that area. Honestly, it's the details that keep me in there, despite the very frustrating issues you bring up. I have simply chosen *not* to participate in some of those mundane tasks like doing anything around camp, or looting most things, or shopping, or hunting/fishing. None of them interest me or drive me to do them more than I already have.

I've just hit chapter 5 and definitely plan to finish (though I haven't played in a week). Love the characters and story and the presentation is fantastic. I also love the freedom *between* missions... But like you, I detest the guardrails during the missions.

At this point, I'm still enjoying it way too much to give it up, regardless of some of the annoyances. My original plan was to play thru again as a complete asshole. But due to some of those annoyances, I might skip a replay.

tbh its not just the mundane tasks ..... even the main missions suffer with this overly-directed and overly-slowpaced design .... its just sooo fucking sloooooow and can bat you in the head over standing slightly on the left behind the rock ... cause the animation triggers slightly to the right behind this rock

Call it realism or something , but this is slowed beyond that ... if there was wiping an ass animation it would took minutes for the guy to wipe his ass just to showcase the awesomness of that animation.

Since last year the game was already sold for 19.99€ everywhere so how cheap should they go?

Some of those animations and "features" (like the camp speed limit) should've definitely been optional, they were nothing but an annoyance for most of the playerbase I would imagine. They ditched some of them for Online as well, like the dead corpse looting patdown.

you can enable quick loot and quick skinning if you use a trainer with scripthook. That's how I enjoy the SP after finishing the main campaign. I make sure to block it from internet access even if it's just SP just in case rockstar's retarded system bans me for modding single player.
