The game was built to run on last gen consoles, so like any other console port there will likely be things done to accommodate them that limit how it could have been as a PC-only game. But any downgrade on PC was likely done to get it to run acceptably. Remember the average PC gamer is not running a high end card, a top CPU, and a 4K monitor. Those people are rounding errors. They have a mid-range potato.

I really don't get these "analysis" videos. Let me discover it on my own.
It's like "let me explain the parts where you should laugh, frightened etc"...

I dunno, I think it can be useful to see an autistic breakdown occasionally. While there was nothing earth shattering in this video, especially if you are familiar with the 2020 lore, there were a few interesting tidbits.

No worries, I get your perspective.

I'm pretty familiar with the 2020 lore but I still find some of the neat little details interesting and it keeps the hype going Very Happy

Just like they did for Witcher 3? Oh, wait... Laughing

As much flak as Bethesda gets these days, other devs could learn a lot from their modding support.

Yeah modding TW3 was no picnic, and I'm not sure whether 2077 will even get as much support from CDPR (such as it was) as that, especially in the short term anyway. But I also suspect 2077 is much more up LL's alley than The Witcher as a genre/setting. But we'll see. I think regardless it's inevitable that will be player body mods by somebody. Even TW3 has a bunch of nude mods after all.

That stupid mod merger where you had to merge code into one file.

Yeah I was speaking specifically about authoring tools. It's not really surprising CDPR put no effort in considering ~2/3rd of their revenue is now coming from consoles, but it was pretty disappointing. I'm not even sure why they bothered in the first place. Hopefully 2077 won't have changed too significantly so that what was learned from TW3 version of RED can help jumpstart 3rd party tools. As I suggested above, I think the genre/setting will also be more appealing to certain modders than TW3's fantasy setting, so hopefully some well known tool authors from other games take an interest.

I've seen reference to it on CD-Keys and Play-Asia. If you are in the UK or EU, ShopTo has a "physical" copy (i.e. code in a box) for ~30% off. These are all the GOG version. Since CDPR is the publisher, it's not surprising they aren't selling Steam keys. I assume the only way any reseller is getting keys is from stripping them out of physical copies.

Cheers! But it would not suprise me that those 30% off is just enough to cover the p&p Razz

Yeah, but that one is at least legit based on vetting by the GameDeal subreddit (and postage might not be bad for people close by). The others I have never used myself, so I have no idea. There's probably also that dodgy site that sells carded keys (G2A?). But at that point you'd be much better off just isodemoing it at launch and buying it later on sale.

Well technically GOG releases aren't ISOs. They're just a bunch of binary archives with an installer, straight from the source (since there's no DRM).

As I previously said, not sure if you can still do it via steam, but it's ~27€ from uncle Yuri and ~22€ from uncle Diego.

My only concern is that there is no family sharing supported at launch it seems.

That's because the game is not out yet. They are automatically tagged as exfgls - yes before release.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
