Money isn't everything though. You don't need money to be happy. Sure it's good to have and can help in many cases but it's not the be all and end all.

Hehehe My hubby makes a fortune. Not like Ollax's father. But he makes a few thousand pounds per day. But I shouldn't have said that. I think bragging about cash is so crass.

well ... both of my parents are 'working class' ...
mom is a dental secretary
step-dad is the manager of a tire shop at a Costco (worked his way up, when he started he worked one job as a building super during the day and maintenance at Costco at night).

I've taken a more 'white' collar approach to working (although I've had plenty of jobs that required hard/physical work throughout school). First year out of uni and I make more than either of them. Nothing crazy in terms of salary ... after all, I still work for a not-for-profit company Wink

But shit, TO is an expensive city to have a good time in. Plus paying back my loans, car payment, rent, gadgets, drinking, weed, etc. usually takes most/all of my paycheck.

Here in Canada students live off of KD!

this is kind of funny ..
Quote:
Canada has always been the world's largest per capita consumer of Kraft Dinner, and despite its American origins, the product has become a part of Canadian culture.

Canadian university students have used boxes of Kraft Dinner during protests as noise makers and as symbols of student poverty due to increased education costs.

Everyone who brags about money, and then proceeds to do it, are fucking morons.

If you "shouldn't have" then just fucking -don't-.

Compared to my family members, I'm poor. I feel fortunate though as I know there a ppl who struggle to eek out a living.

What really counts is having good friends, the right girl[s], and having the leisure time to enjoy yourself.
