A new message by CDPR was included in the launch trailer, I will add it in a spoiler because it's quite big (and yellow):
Spoiler:
Here is the transcript:

The wait for Cyberpunk 2077 is almost over. It’s been quite the journey, and first of all we want to thank all of you for being with us along the way.
We know there’s a fair amount of anticipation for the game, and very soon you will all be able to decide whether or not we've lived up to the hype.
Launch day is always a mix of excitement and constant nerve-wracking, and with this being the first game we've developed that isn’t titled ‘The Witcher’, we'd be lying if we said we weren't anxious to see what you think once you've sunk your teeth into it. With this launch trailer, we're just about ready to flick the switch and see Cyberpunk 2077 go from ours and become yours. We set out to create our most immersive world yet, and we believe that the stories waiting for you to uncover, and the relationships you'll forge during your time in Night City, will stick with you for quite some time.
We've mentioned before that expansions will be coming, and while we're not ready to talk specifics just yet, we will say that we've learned a lot from our work on both Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine. Our planned expansions will take you even deeper into the world of Cyberpunk 2077. offering substantial, story-driven content that'll give you tough choices to make though impactful narratives that you won't soon forget.
But before we get there, we'll first be kicking off our free DLC program in early 2021. Just like with The Witcher 3, expect an assortment of free DLC packs to begin hitting Night City, dropping a bunch of cool stuff that'll inject even more life into the world of the dark future. We hope you're looking forward to them!
We want to end this message with a request. Once you played/finished the game, we would love it if you got back to us and told us how your V was.
Our forums and social media are there for you. We want to know how you found Night City and what choices you made. We created a huge world for you to jump into, tell us your story.

PC hardware is a downward spiral, this is getting silly. You need a new 1000$ pc to run this at modest settings.
In the past i bought a new rig for every 4 years or so? Newer spend more then 1000 euro's. That gave me something good for 3-4 years and sometimes i upgraded my gpu for 200-300 euro's after a couple of years. Always thought spending more was insane. Sure you could buy a gpu for 500 euro's but then you'd be burning money for a minor increase in performance.
Now 500 euro GPU's are budget cards. Insane. Pc gaming is dying, younger people are just going for console instead of paying 1500 euro's plus for a gaming rig. And you end up playing console games and all the performance you'd paid for is waisted cause of poor optimisation.
Sure i've the money to spend and my current rig can handle this game. But i'm having doubts if this is worth it, perhaps my next high end rig is a console (my last console was a sega 16 bit )

Weird the game doesn't look that good.
WTF they are talking about? 2070 should be fine:
"If you already have a 2070 Super or similar GPU, 1080p or 1440p with ray tracing should be fine as well."
but if you aim to run it on minimum a 2060 is needed.
Next time will be:
To max it out you will need a 3060rtx but for minimum a 3090rtx is required.
"tomshardware" ... the biggest sellout of all hardware pages, djeeses, delete it from ur bookmarks already, its been selling out for a decade nearly already

Seems like a well thought out argument based on the benchmarks from a single site for one game

So much content has been stripped from the game that, at this point, I’m not sure there’s anything but purple dildos and gender neutral body options left. Plus some RTX3090-killing Ray Traced swinging femcock shadows

It's not hardware, it's garbage developers who want the ease of console development coming to PC with their lazy ass attitudes that can't optimize a game for shit.
Horizon Zero Dawn was a fucking disaster at launch, almost like they never actually bothered to test anything. Control is a pile of shit, even a 20xx series struggles running it and it doesn't even look that good. Red Dead 2 on medium looked better than control on high, and Red Dead is unoptimized trash too.

I want to laugh at this but only tears are coming out

Same here, to be frank. I laugh to mask the pain and sorrow and horror inside me
