I watched half the first episode, it didn't seem any improvement over the last series. I was drunk though, so I do plan to revisit.

The season is better than the previous season overall so far. 1 very bad episode. 1 average. 2 good episodes.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

I watched the Harkness episode.
It was the worst episode.
Two time lords cannot be in the same space and time. It'll be disastrous.
Oh they had a planet together.
Oh a time lord is chasing a fugitive who's also a time lord. Now there's three time lords in the same place. Still disastrous. Let's all hold hands.
Fucking shit. Don't write shit if you don't mean it.
Don't add to the cannon if you don't care about the cannon. Don't fuck shit up because you want to. Don't bring in old favourites to bring back audiences and still write a shit episode.

It sucks not being part of the intended audience when a show changes drastically to reflect the current atmosphere among YA's.

It's not a current atmosphere among YA's.
They're sick of this shit. They hate this shit. They hate the woke shit. (especially here in high schools/early colleges - first hand experience here) It's the grown ups who were looking for racism everywhere and found it and try to make a right from a wrong that wasn't there in the first place.
The racism were experiencing now is fabricated and mass produced to increase ad revenue. They see it work therefore their view is validated and everyone else is racist, xenophobic, homophobic.
Aint no wrong in having a stronk blak wamen as a doctor. It's wrong forcing it down our throat while pissing all over the lore. If they actually made a decent female doctor that isn't an amalgamation of Tennant and Smith, and a unique great thing it would be fantastic. They got lazy and blamed men for it.

^^ Sarcasm or not (I honestly can't tell) you are right. I grew up with Doctor Who, watched it since I was a nipper and my favourite Doctor was Jon Pertwee, saw it take a hiatus and come back with Christopher Ecclestone (my 2nd favourite ) -- I've loved it for decades. This new shit? Ever since Capaldi the show has turned into a joke  Grossly over-political, preachy, insulting, and every week a new "social justice" talking point with worsening stories and even worse characters.
Jodie isn't bad, she's doing her best with terrible stories and plot development, and sadly she - as an actress - is getting a lot of the brunt online, but the real damage is from Chris Chibnal. He's a pathetic, talentless, hack and how he went from writing glorious stories like in Torchwood, to this shit? I just don't know

I stopped watching this travesty of a show after a few episodes due to the absolutely horrible writing. I doubt even after Jodie Whittaker leaves that they'll be able to restore the series which seems to have reached it's creative end while completely dropping everything that made the previous seasons and Doctors mean nothing.
I guess this explains some of it:

Unless they fire new crew, pay an exuberant amount of money to bring back davies  it might revamp the show. Current crew mixed 3 doctors together without creating a new one. She was good at balancing Tennant, Smith, and Capaldi but overall character wasn't written properly or even developed properly.
I wager theyll scrap dr who for some time. Blame toxic masculinity on shows poor performance and criticism. Not realize that they tossed away their audience in favor of a new one who only cared for the gender swap and not the actual adventure.
I'd fork over an exuberant amount of cash to bring back rtd and Moffat for 2 seasons to reset the mess, with a new female doctor and in those two years guide a new show runner who's actually interested in managing a show and not managing diversity quotas. But that won't happen.

It's RTD.
You can go wrong with new RTD, but even if he makes the next doctor a tranny he will find a way to make it work. And I look forward to a trans doctor if it's done right.
Heck I'd enjoy Jodie if RTD developed her like he did the other doctors. If Jodie stayed with RTD I'm sure a redemption arc would be in play and people would love Jodie.

I haven't watched sex education so no clue of him.
But even then can't gauge talent like that. Jodie is a great actress, and was horrible as who.

It is interesting as Russell Davies said they had another actor basically chosen as the new Doctor but then Ncuti Gatwa came in as one of the last auditions and won the part so now a lot of people will be speculating which actor was the first choice if Gatwa ends up being terrible during his first few episodes.
