You're too late to the party and never invest money you can't miss. If you want high gains be prepared to take high risks.

Just don't. It is never smart to invest in things you don't even feel like researching first. You might as well put the money on fire.

I do, well not at those prices but I truly appreciate those that do. I SELL at those prices to get a few percent every time FOMO makes people rush in, then it settles back down in price after.
I myself don't think bitcoin will ever become a major global standard in adoption, or at least anytime in the usable practical future. BUT I know I can make money off doing short/longs from all these people that do think that
I've be playing in it since early 2017, that spike and crash of 2017 made me some selling at the top and buying back at the bottom. And been making a few percent here and there when 'big' bitcoin news comes out making it spike, then correct once the hype is over.
I can't say I could live off the profits I'm making. But I put in $200 back in early 2017 and up to $1660 now just buying/dumping every time a 'too the moon!' frantic rush starts

Arrested....for what? It's not a pyramid scheme. Its no different than playing the stock markets trading stocks on software companies, or IPO's of those 'unicorn start ups'. (Invest money into the concept you think some particular intellectual property is going to increase in subjective value).
Is it because you dont like it, or because its illegal? You can't get people arrested for just doing things you don't want them to do.

...wut?
How is the French revolution based on a king and the bourgeoisie spending of the peasents tax money while ignoring their needs and refusing to let them fully own land due to feudalism (and hence less rights to improve conditions), anything like this?
Or is this one of the "Eat The Rich" type ideologies?
I'm not defending bitcoin as important. Just pointing out nothing to be arrested for. Speculative gains from projected arbitrary future value is nothing new, or illegal, or worth getting eaten for doing. If so every world stock market, S&P index, and future trades would need to be shut down also.
And is the less than 0.0001% they contribute to the climate change the 'big' issue?
Shit if we are going with that, I demand all gaming PC's be destroyed as they contribute as much if not more than the farming cards just by the mass proliferation of them in numbers. They also produce nothing of tangible value to the world.
Or just an issue with you, because you have an issue with the product?

Then you read wrong. Go re-read again.
No way coin farming used 1250 Terrawatt per hour of electricity. (Total worldwide gross production of electricity is roughly 25,000 TWh annually).
A single highway old high-pressure sodium bulb uses 1200 watts of power. It would take 2-3 video cards per every highway light in the world to equal just what they use alone. If you added up all the video cards ever made since the voodoo3, there still isn't enough in sheer number to have that many cards. Much less last 2-3 gens of them.
There is an estimated 305 million street lights in the world. I doubt if farmers have 600-900 million video cards mining.
Traffic lights at intersections use way more power annually than farming cards.
Public street and highway lighting, consumed about 141 billion kWh for lighting in 2019 for the US.
The U.S. residential and commercial sectors combined used about 216 billion kilowatthours (kWh) of electricity.
which was equal to about 1.4% of total U.S. electricity consumption.
And they make up 4x as much as all that combined? (5%)
These are things easy to google.

"Currently, the tool estimates that Bitcoin is using around seven gigawatts of electricity, equal to 0.21% of the world's supply."
so it was 0.2 in 2019 , i guess by now its 0.5 and still rising , still far more then your 0.0001
another article says its up to 7 nuclear plants worth of power

0.2% percent and 5%-20% is a HUGE difference. That's literally 25 to 100 times less than what you stated.

My 0.0001% is the footprint total of global warming it contributes, not electricity usage.
You would have to run one 1000 watt videocard (not a real thing, but for easy math) for over 4 centuries 24/7 at full wattage load, running off of pure coal power plant electricity, to equal what one tanker ship contributes to it on a single trans-pacific route.

Who said I wanted to stop it?
It has earned me my money to buy my next 3080/3080ti off of the pure profit it made me, and try to run it for the 4 centuries
There is plenty of trees to bark up about crypto, a whole forest of them. But at least make sure the one you are barking up has something at the top to bark about.
Cars, lorries, tankers, people themselves, outdated lighting fixtures and bulbs, bad industry practices, the list goes on and on. And bitcoin mining is the tree you bark up about carbon emissions...? A whole forest of old growth trees and you are snapping at a sapling?
