Another bad news for CDPR. Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) will monitor the progress of work on patches. If CDPR fails to deliver them, they may be punished with a fine of up to 10% of their income in the previous year.
I doubt a whip is what's gonna fix the game, tho surely a great motivator. Even if all bugs are fixed it's still an on rails story game (contrary to what was advertised) the "alternate" paths really don't change anything nor introduce you to levels you would've missed on that playthrough. imo that's a bigger problem that all the bugs.
Praising this as a RPG was the biggest mistake in the first place. It shares some mechanics, but the promises that were made have ultimately not been met. Based on the "shortcut" when you start the game jumping forward by half a year including many things that have been found in the files there was a LOT of cut content.
For example I couldn't care less about anything depicted in that half year. All that gang shit. Who cares. I cared about the main story and the themes they explored
I do wish there was more choice and consequence though - for me that was the most lacking feature.
Thing is, I feel like that half year could have been the side content, the various gigs and all that, just integrate them into that and have Jackie take part.

Yeah more like half a year of V's possible character development and making Jackie a meaningful character to make the Heist ending a bit more logical. Funny mentioning the story when this should be clearly part of it...
@DarkRohirrim Easiest option and it would instantly feel less forced, as of now it feels like a major skip
To be honest, I was very disappointed with the opening of the game. I played the corpo path and expected more than 15 minutes of exposition before being thrown in the 'real' story. I didn't expect another White Orchard introductory chapter, but I ended up wanting more from the early game. It felt very rushed to me, and not in the intentional way. The montage was disappointing because it looked fun and something that should've been implemented in the game in some capacity.
I held off for a month but decided to fuck it and just play the damn thing and I must say... It's pretty awesome. I'm hooked. The narrative aspect is top notch. Every major character has this slimy, two face backstabby betreyal kind of feel to them.
I like the immersive-sim'ness of it all, where even if it's a random activity you stumble upon you typically have at least a frontal way and a sneaky way. Sometimes a dialog way, sometimes a shortcut you can take if you have enough tech ability or can pry it open by force. And everthing has some sort of backstory to it, even if it's tad bullshit.
I'd say it's close to Deus Ex levels (so far), but with much better shooting. AI is all over the place though. Hacking is tad bit unbalanced. The interface is clunky and the world map is quite shit.
For a game that allegedly had so much content cut out, there's a shitload of content left. I don't care about remodelling your apartment, car customization and all that shit.

Everything related to the fixers is totally stupid. They are for the biggest part just rando chars appearing on the top left of your screen and giving you some "background" for some rando yellow objective markers where you have to "steal" or "kill" someone. After being very sneaky for a long time I started to go bruteforce and... well it doesn't seem to backfire at all. I'm just murdering my way through enemy hordes even if I'm supposed to be "sneaky".

from what i played, you get additional rewards when you do the missions as intended, although it's not always clear cut what is the correct way. the fixer will leave an additional reward for you at a drop off.
Yeah.. A few more credits Yesterday I took a different route on a side mission to talk to a guy instead of killing him and the guy's mouth didn't even move. I thought Jali was so easy to use, why do yo offer to talk to a person that actually has something to contribute to a story, but then do not animate his mouth?
Spoiler:
In the mission where I have to infiltrate the Arasaka compound and modify the vehicles for the parade I just blasted my way through and beheaded every single person on the compound. After "secretly" deploying the software I "sneakily" escaped through the roof, continued to murder all other security guards on the ground and the next day Arasaka had a fantastic parade "Well I guess they all just had a very infectious case of
'Gravi-morbo-amissionis-capitis-et-vehementi'. Let's wipe away all the blood and terrified looking mangled bodies and continue with the party planning "
Yeah, there's a few missions like the one you mention in the spoiler tags that should automatically fail (or at least have some kind of consequence on the difficulty of the next mission that depends on it) if you leave any evidence of your unauthorized presence there, like for instance a guy involuntarily sleeping in a freezer
lol you guys, they are not trash cans. They are trash compactors. This makes especially sense if you chose to not kill your enemies but let them be crushed alive.
I think this guy River Ward had some "special" AI. Even when you are inside the car he drives similar to this, hitting lamp posts and almost people as well. Haven't seen other NPC's driving like him. Even Panam was pretty normal but then her missions were in the badlands with not much to hit.
I don't think they have proper pathing for AI driving. It's all hardcoded on rails for quests. That's also why you can't just call a cab like in GTA and watch the sights while being driven to a location of your choice.
I specifically said REAL details, not FAKE or APPROXIMATIONS dude You can't scale up and get MY phone number from a 100x30 pixel screenshot, but your algorithm might understand that there is SOME number and maybe create some bogus phone number
