Euhm since noone mentioned it I'm gonna recommend:

The Dice Man
The Search for the Dice Man

Both by Luke Rhinehart (George Cockcroft).

Got em from my girlfriend as a gift, never heard of it but once I started reading I kept going. every 5 min break here and there I just had to continue reading. So yeah for me it was a very nice surprise Smile

I need to find a good source for audiobooks. I want to read Greg Bears brilliant "The Way" trilogy (hard high concept sci-fi close to the quality of Asimovs best works) but I need glasses. My eyes feel tired and my vision has deteriorated over the past ~1-2 years. When I look at my phone screen for more than a few minutes my eyes get very tired and when I look up (on the telly for instance) it takes a while to focus.

I can't afford glasses atm. (not sure if I just need reading glasses or both) so audiobooks would be my only alternative since reading a book would be impossible after 10-15 minutes.
