Tests are still free here if you've tested negative, then get symptoms again that may or may not be covid including free home-delivery and pick-up of test-kits that you perform while the driver wait outside which I did the first time.
If you've tested positive you'll have to wait for 6 months for another normal test since you'll have anti-bodies in your system and the test won't be accurate. You can however do the other test (PCR) that looks for anti-bodies to see if you've had covid-19 and been well for at least 21 days (you must have had symptoms).
Thing is, I've had cold symptoms since October and they just won't go away. I still have taste/smell, I don't have a fever or dry cough etc. so it's most likely a lingering cold (or multiple ones in a row) not to mention the fact that it's cold as fuck in my apartment. It's mainly sniffles/blowing my nose, occasional sneezing, nothing serious and it tend to go away a couple of hours after waking up. When I take the bike to the store I always get a runny nose due to the cold air and feel a bit self-concsious since people in the store probably think I've got covid-19 even though it's something I've always suffered from in cold weather.
But generally the second, third etc. test are free under the above conditions just as the vaccine will be for the entire population. There are obviously private pharmacies/clinics that will test you for ~35-45 € if you aren't eligible due to having tested positive within 6 months of if you don't worry about money and just want to visit your local private pharmacy/clinic.
