Seems like a mod can just ban anyone for no apparent reason. I noticed all those "drive-by trolling"-bans on page 1. I'm so glad I'm not using that shitty forum.

Well it's a discussion forum where discussion is banned and only one opinion allowed, pretty much a authoritarian loony bin. It can be entertaining in small doses though.

Triggering the mods is a bannable offense. Not being fanaticly devoted to THE CAUSE is a bannable offense.
Bu seriosuly, I can sort of understand why people saying things like "in b4 the storm" or "this gon' be good" got banned. It brings nothing to the discussion, and potentially derails it. But REEEEsetera mods also tend to ban people for politely disagreeing with the narrative, so it's still a shithole echo chamber.

There are tons of ppl just in for the lulz since the place is such a minefield and it's really easy to get ppl banned so some made it a sport. If i had to take a guess i'd say only 30% or less of them are actual sjws and the rest either trolls or normies just going with the flow. Troll forums like Kiwifarms just love them since they provide regular entertainment for them.

https://uk.ign.com/articles/2019/11/20/next-saints-row-game-to-be-revealed-in-2020
Saints Row 5 to be unveiled in 2020 confirms Koch Media.
Quote: |
“Saints Row is very close to our hearts, and we'll talk about it next year,” Kundratitz said. “For the time being, we just wanted to get the word out that it's coming and it's going to be great.”
|
EDIT: Should fit in here until there's some actual game info available, super hero purple dildo bat and dubstep time or something different, MP or SP focus or whatever is going to be a thing.
(And here's the super sprint and quad jump ability and goodbye ever using a vehicle again. Ha ha.)
Guessing Agents of Mayhem kinda fizzled and they're trying another mainline Saints game whatever it will end up as, would like it to go back a bit to Saints Row 2 and presumably also the first game rather than what the sequels and the Gat in Hell spin-off / kinda reboot made the series into.
EDIT: Somebody remaking Saints Row 2 would be nice considering the existing one is sorta a lost cause as I understood it but we'll see what direction this goes into.
(Well the bat was mostly a joke thing initially to be fair.)
EDIT: Huh almost a week back for the reveal itself...that they're doing a reveal, next year, guess other stuff had a bigger priority ha ha.
https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2019-11-14-how-koch-media-is-ensuring-classic-brand-comebacks-are-worth-the-wait
(Week back, RDR2's PC port maybe or something over with the consoles? Not sure. )

|
EDIT: Well on closer reading Some Saints something is going to be unveile 2020, guess IGN went a bit ahead of the actual reported details.

Volition did find the source code for 2 and now they are gonna fix the pc version and add steam works!
this came from the volition community stream for the 11th aniversary of SR2
|
Quote: |
It's a passion project, being worked by Mike Watson (IdolNinja) and Thomas Jepp
Focus on performance, stability, integrating Steamworks (coop will return)
Audio is being fixed too
DLCs (previous X360 / PS3 only) will be added
Completely free, will be added to Saints Row 2 owners' library automatically
Gentlemen of the Row fixes will be implemented on the patch and the mod will be updated to work with the updated version of SR2
Saves made in the actual version won't be compatible with the updated one but you will be still able to play these by launching the old version
No release date
For now the update is only coming to the Steam version, but there's a chance of it coming to the GOG version in the future

4A as another bigger studio acquisition too not just smaller ones though they had a few like that already such as Warhorse and Volition.
EDIT: Oh and Saber and 4A working together now that's of interest too and what that might result in.

Quote: | The Board of Directors of Embracer Group AB (“Embracer Group”) today announces a transformative step for value creation through a separation of the group into three market-leading games and entertainment companies: Asmodee Group, “Coffee Stain & Friends”[1] and “Middle-earth Enterprises & Friends”[1]. The three entities will be separate, publicly listed companies, enabling each entity to better focus on their respective core strategies and offer more differentiated and distinct equity stories for existing and new shareholders. This will enable the entities to unlock value in the high-quality assets of Embracer Group following the successful completion of the restructuring program.
The three separate publicly listed entities are expected to consist of:
- Asmodee, a global leading tabletop games publisher and distributor with an extensive studio network and IP catalogue.
Net Sales of SEK 14.8 billion and Adjusted EBIT of SEK 1.9 billion on a pro forma basis as per LTM[2] December 2023
- “Coffee Stain & Friends”, a diverse gaming entity with a dual focus on indie and A/AA premium and free-to-play games for PC/console and mobile, with a high degree of recurring revenues.
Net Sales of SEK 10.9 billion, Adjusted EBIT of SEK 2.8 billion on a pro forma basis as per LTM December 2023.
- “Middle-earth Enterprises & Friends”, a creative powerhouse in AAA game development and publishing for PC and console, as well as the stewards of The Lord of the Rings and Tomb Raider intellectual properties, among many others.
Net Sales SEK of 14.1 billion, Adjusted EBIT SEK 2.0 billion on a pro forma basis as per LTM December 2023.
