Wonder whether Jade goes crawling back to Ubisoft or EA now? Hell, Ubi would probably take her back just for the optics of having a "strong wahmen" leadership after their latest little fiascos.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

GeForce now is shit.
It works and then stops working.
Steam link is bad ass and just amazing
And once you got yourself steam rom manager working its even better.
There are alternative streaming apps for in home gaming.
I got stadia pro.
Tried Celeste and felt no input lag at all.
Then tried some heavy freebies and only felt lag in that gay racing sim I couldn't even finish half a lap in.
Hitman 1 and 2 played smooth with no input lag.
Like playing on steam link in bedroom.

I went with 2022 when I created the poll, it felt like it could be the sweet spot since 2020-21 was objectively too soon even by Googol's standards and longer plans would imply a positive reception to a degree. The pandemic probably prolonged the agony, still, fingers crossed

https://www.vg247.com/2021/02/17/google-stadia-kill-first-party-development-microsoft-bethesda/
Quote: | The last days of Google’s game-making studios at Stadia may have been worse than we thought.
If Google’s decision to shutdown all internal Stadia development studios without making a single game seemed sudden, it was also that way for the people Google let go.
A Kotaku report covering the last few days of Stadia’s dev teams revealed that just the week prior, Stadia GM and long-time games executive Phil Harrison told everyone in an email that “[Stadia Games and Entertainment] has made great progress building a diverse and talented team and establishing a strong lineup of Stadia exclusive games.”
“We will confirm the SG&E investment envelope shortly, which will, in turn, inform the SG&E strategy and 2021 [objectives and key results].”
The investment envelope Harrison was referring to here was none at all, because five days later, he broke the news to the world that Stadia is done with making games as it repositions the business around publishing and licensing tech. This is also when teams found out about Google’s decision to let them go.
In a follow-up conference call with affected teams, Harrison was specifically asked what changed between the time of his email and the decision to shutdown studios. According to Kotaku, Harrison told developers that management had known of Google’s decision, and apologised for his misleading email the week prior.
Harrison reportedly also said that Microsoft’s move to acquire Bethesda’s parent company was one of the reasons behind Google’s decision, though it’s not clear what actually means. |

Yes and no. It sucks for sure, but this guy was likely too chickenshit to say it until the last moment.

Yeah not really a good sign when a video game platform has to ensure people that it's "alive and well".

They also made a press statement about their upcoming in-house games a week or two before they announced they had closed the studio. So an announcement about Stadia being shut down following hot on the heels of this wouldn't surprise me in the least.
