If they keep the traditional offline experience completely separated from the online pew-pew with Blyatroyales and whatnot maybe maybe there might be some hope. It's definitely going to affect the development and budget in some negative way though, as per usual. I guess only time will tell. At least we still have the STALKER 2 vaporware designed for consoles, we can't complain

I downloaded Metro Exodus Gold codex edition with the hotfix just for the benchmark, but I can't get it to work. The game launches fine, but the benchmark tool can't seem to launch the Metro process. Any ideas? I'm trying to get some benchmarks GTX 1080 vs RTX 3080 and this one seems to be one of the few games with a benchmark tool.

Have you started the game at least once before the benchmark? I remember having trouble launching the benchmark before launching the game. That was on the legit version though.

I'm a moron, run as admin did not even occur to me. Works now. This game kills my 1080 at 4K.

Now lets hope they change the forced shitty stealth to get any kind of good ending. I enjoy stealthing now and then depending on the situation, but being forced too in a fps like this...

Read again the chart. The console update will bring like 10 graphical improvements and it's only going to miss 1 that will be PC only. Very doubtful they spent on that 1 feature more time than developing the other 10.

I wish they'll update the Redux versions of the first two games and fix the bugs and glitches that are still there since Day 1.

wish they would spend their time and money on something else tbh, like improving AI or making physics work in cool ways.. i mean that can make a rather big impact on gameplay itself.
i honestly couldnt give two shits if lighting has to be faked to look good / natural in some scenes.. also how many people have ray-tracing cards that performs good.. you can't even buy one if you wanted one.

i assumed there was gonna be more enhancements then just lighting ? and fix as in so this "enhanced" it runs on amd and older non rtx cards

Not from what i've seen, it's just lighting, that's why it needs RTX cards. you can't really hack it either since the lighting won't function then, it's not like they leave the old lighting in too, they've removed it + relit the levels too.

Of course it runs on AMD. What brand of a graphics chip do you think the consoles have?
Like I said before this is an update made first to take advantage of the RT capabilities of the new consoles with some further quality improvements for the highest end PCs.

It's nice to know that augmented raybounces will await me when I'll get to play the game again on an RTX-powered rig, hopefully by 2031
