Yep, although I did enjoy The Hunt much more! I could feel the tension and social aspect more along. It reminds me a bit of Haneke.

Escape from Pretoria (2020) - 6/10
This is no Shawshank, but still watchable, and a true story, it's just I can't look at him, without 'potter' running through my head.

Rambo: Last Blood. Nah, as expected this was pretty awful. There's nothing to it other than "fun" and brutal deaths. It's too bad really, could have been something cool like Rambo 2008. This probably looked good on paper but the execution is piss poor and often nonsensical.. Stallone can still pull off being a real bad ass though. 4.5/10
Man of Steel. Pretty good pop-corn flick. 7.5/10.
Solaris (1972). Love this movie to death, this is my third watch over the years. It certainly needs you to be in the mindset for it though, and when you are it's amazing. Beautiful, creepy, philosophical.. 9/10.

The Little Things (2021) - 7.5/10
Hmm, where to start? Denzel and cast were just brilliant, awesome. Rami Malek also, playing what he does brilliantly, aka, someone you can't read. I enjoyed this film immensely, it's setting was dark, but it never let you in, a 'Seven' vibe to it, but it tapers off half way through, so it's not in the same vein as mentioned.
Thus....
Spoiler: | I'm still at the same point, before I began watching, as nothing was ever solved, yeah I get the 'made mistake' scenario between the two, career wise, but I do like to have answers to the main story, unless I missed something? |

it seems like there will be an even newer version, didn't really care since i didn't watch the 4K version anyways (that's the "faulty" one as i understand it, that is now being fixed and re-released).

Snyder's Cut - 6.5/10
Started really good, thinking this would be the personal view/somersault the movie needed. More nuanced, more detailed. In the end it felt more or less like the theatrical, but with more Cyborg (good) and more exposition (sometimes bad). Black-caped Superman, while cool, felt kinda pointless. Action was better, character development felt better. The epilogue... Spoiler: | would make sense if there was a JL2 | which I'm not sure. Nice to see Spoiler: | Leto's Joker again | though.

Jl2 we should have an answer within a few weeks if not days. Zackdaddy is planning a comicon for snyderverse fans. might get an announcement then, but that'll be later this year.
Anywho
Zackdaddy justice league _ 7.5/10
Ray fisher validated. Makes me happy.
Whedon cut out 90% of black people story lines for his mcu version.
Coming 2 America. Not black enough 7/10
Patrice o'neal doc 9/10
They focused more on him and his life and his asshole attitude and then sprinkled the tragedy. A good mix. It celebrated him rather than focus on the sad.

Seventh Day - 7/10
Quite okay horror/exorcism movie in a different style and with Guy Pierce as one of the main characters. Changes up the formula a bit.

Zack Snyder's Justice League - 7/10
"You'll believe a cut can fly!"
Big, dumb, and loud, sure. But also visually spectacular and with a heart. If given a proper editing pass it would score even higher, but I understand why Snyder left everything in it, since this is his last DC film.
One of the very best director's cuts ever made.
Here is my original review from back in the day:

Justice League - 6/10
An hour too long (watched it in three sittings) but felt like a completely different movie from the original version. Much better than the original crap-cut.

Judas and the Black Messiah - 8/10
I was honestly not expecting much from something that reeked of boot-lickin' Oscar bait, but it positively surprised me and held my attention till the end. It's a piece of history that I knew very little about, where extreme hatred generated more extreme hatred like a black cat and a hog both chasing their own tail. The believable acting from Stanfield and Kaluuya (plus the usual trustworthy Jesse Plemons) alongside the writing made all the internal conflicts engaging without being too preachy, with the inspired direction and integrated rhythmic music that helped as well.
Snyder's Justice League
Couldn't make it, I had to raise the white flag and use the Shift-Del superpower on the mkv lootbox after a couple of hours. If this was the massively improved version, I don't even want to imagine how damn tripey the original thing must have been. Alas, I just cannot find any enjoyment in this sort of stuff, but it's great that for once fans got their proper movie back (and some spicy drama along with it).
