Great. Bought it ages ago and never played it. Seems like a great game while chilling on couch or in bed, lol.

Haha I'll probably do the same when I'll give it another run. I explored all the sophisticated introspective outcomes and personalities the first time so the next one definitely begs to be played in full_Cuno mode.

What happens if you cheat and make a build that is a genius on every level? I wonder how it affects the gameplay and narrative.

Did they annoy you cause they sounded worse, or because they were different? I havent played it yet btw |
Some of the characters' VOs are changed, but none for the worse, I think. They are of the same quality and I have no problems with them. What annoyed me initially were the VOs for all the skills, like Inland Empire, or Shivers, which are completely voiced now. I guess it will bother mostly people like me who already finished the game before, but there's an option to disable the new VOs, so it's not a big deal. After a while I got used to them, and I even think it's a good addition to the game because they are distinctive enough to remind the player it's all internal monologue.

Cuno's the same, only fully voiced now. The one that jumped the most for me at the beginning was Garte. I think they got the actor to re-record his old lines alongside the new ones, and now he sounds less douchier.

Is there any depth, beauty or hope - later on in the game - in this whole nihilistic 'painting' candidly so-called "chef d'oeuvre" by it's adherents?!

Yes, depending on your playthrough, there is an extremely satisfying and hopeful part near the end.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
