Maybe it is because for me shooter = FPS, I might have different standards for Borderlands and this. But I compare Borderlands to other FPS, and don't understand why the TTK is so high, and why shooting doesn't feel kinetic at all.
But I approached this game as loot shooter. Maybe if I had approached Borderlands that way, I would have felt better about it.
I like it but this connection problems are not fun, i want to play solo and can't, never played too much of online games.. how long usually this problems figured out? Week or 2? More?
I played about 7 hours as techno but wanted to try trickster.. was stupid to delete the techno save as i rather have it, will try all classes for an hour to decide, if i can ever connect
Nearing the end and absolutely loving it. Can't wait for the end game, I'll definitely play the campaign once again too, with some other class. Got some weird bug though - the moment my char starts moving textures on objects in the world become a bit more blurry. Weird. Got motion blur off, obviously.

Try changing DX mode. When you launch from steam, you can chose dx12 or 11. Default is 12.

Pretty sure they changed that to DX11 with a Hotfix since DX12 is having more issues currently.
I really like the setting, story, lore in this one. Reading every journal, listening to NPCs, etc. Seeing it's not an MMO, no need to rush, won't be left behind.

There is a bypass on rin if anyone wants to isodemo it, have not tried it personally since game doesn't look very appealing to me but ppl have completed the campaign with it so it seems to work.
I really really like this game. I don't know how to describe it, but it's just so gamey. Such a nice gamey game that I just want to keep playing.
None of that boredom that all the Ubisoft games turn into once you are 3 hours in, no MTX, no forced multiplayer, no slow, boring, overly consolized enemies (looking at you Destiny 2 and Borderlands), it's just a nice shooter that knows exactly what it wants to be. Nice enemy variety adding new ones again and again, keeping things fresh even 20 hours in, story is nice and keeps me interested, crafting and customizing your loot to fit my build still is enjoyable, action feels fast, fluid and direct, but at the same time never unfair.
Just a well crafted gamey game that I didn't even know I had missed the past years.
I’m enjoying what little I’ve been able to play as well. I can’t quite describe it either but it does what it does well. It’s not overly involved that I feel I need to keep on playing nor do I feel left out by not being able to play as much as I’d like. The mechanics are just “fun” enough for me to keep me interested.

Too bad the game is at full price for PC, when you know that Xbox gets it since day 1 with the game pass. The price is probably going to drop fast (although on the gray market, it sells still for +45€ in Europe)

Valid for sure. The gameplay keeps it “fun” for me for now at least. While I’ve not yet tried coop, I imagine that is where most of the fun is had, at least for me it would.
I was able to get it for $46 and it included the pre order DLC so while still not ideal, it wasn’t terrible.

They aren't that bullet spongey, Borderlands is way worse in that regard. Granted, I play the Trickster class and built it for a shotgun build, I teleport in, wipe out 10 enemies or 2 bosses with 2 magazines, then teleport back out.
But this is also why I mentioned Destiny 2 or Borderlands, the bullet-spongeyness there is way way worse.
The enemies that are real bullet sponges, notably bosses and super bosses, also kind of look the part, lol.
For example other altereds. They are bullet-resistant by design. Just like your char, too. Not invincible, but you can literally take bullets to the head and survive and that's part of the lore.

I bought via CD keys a few weeks ago. Sometime before release they bumped it up to around $53 I think. Not sure what it is right now/today.
