did they ever make a working anti cheat btw ? , every recent bf one or V video on youtube complains about if ur not in an armor, u get headshotted instantly by some botters

Every couple of months I need my BF fix, so I play for a week or so BFV and BFI and cheaters are rare af.

I honestly don't think the franchise will ever go back to being what it once was, but it certainly can improve if it (finally) decides to focus on its traditional strengths instead of pandering to the Cow-a-Doody crowd while also functioning as a virtue-signalling generator. It's a problematic(tm) if, tough.
The BF1 iteration and its pea shooting wrapped around paper-thin mechanics was the one that already started the sad trombone for me, and that's without counting Battlefield "Sound of da Police" Hardline. BFV was merely a tragicomical source for meme material, I played the beta out of curiosity and that was enough to see that I wasn't really sitting on the right side of the franchise's history. My interest in online shooters has gradually but steadily diminished as well over the years..so yeah, at the end of the day it's a whatever situation.

They won't try that again. Firestorm was a huge flop and generally speaking, most Battle royals are. There are only 3 that, AFAIK, are commercially successful, one being owned by EA themselves.

they shouldn't make the same mistake twice. the last BR was fun, but no one played it and it took players from the normal modes. that is not good for a game with so few players, just like with those 10000 online modes in general.
on top no one gave a fuck about the BR, because it wasn't free. if they plan a BR mode, it HAS to be free or it's dead on arrival, no matter how good it is.

What they previously described could be interesting, anything for a BF4 with extended destruction would finally get me back to the series again. Generally I could not get on with the WW2 installments nor COD unfortunately.
