Watching that video, I am at a loss what this has to do with D&D.
The skills are not based on it.
The trading/equipment is not based on it.
The combat is not based on it.
The damage model isnt based on it.
I'm honestly surprised by whoever greenlighted this at Wizards of the Coast.

True, but thats like having a movie about jet fighting and Harry Potter is a fighting ace:

Plus (in my eyes) Drizzt's is so played out. Maybe its because I'm an old school 2nd ed. player? God only knows how many friends I had in the 90's early 2000's that was the mix of tabletop nerd&goth (or angsty brooding wanna be goth) that had some part of Drizzt Do'Urden in their online name or a misspelling of it because whatever the wanted was taken..

Well i mean Drizzt Do'urden was always just a bad knock off of Moorcocks Elric of Melniboné anyway, i think the similarities are too many to be just a coincidence.
We will be shutting down (shut down) the Dark Alliance servers on 2/24/2025 and it will no longer be available to purchase starting that day. The base game and all DLC are still available to play in offline single player by anyone who currently owns it.
