What a snowflake Laughing

Good\great actors aren't afraid to challenge themselves and leave their comfort zone. A mediocre actor (like Evangelina Lilly) bitches about it instead.

It's the job of an actor to be put into uncomfortable situations sometimes. If as an actor you do only what you are comfortable with without leaving your comfort zone, you are a shitty, lazy wannabe actor who always wants to have it "safe" and cosy.

If she thought being an actress is to do only what you are comfortable with then she chose a wrong profession.

She kept quiet about it all these years, I bet she didn't even voice her concerns on the set when they filmed the first or second partially nude scene (no one would have fired her for this coz it would have affected the show) but now she decides to open her trap and ride the #metoo wave.

Oh boy. You know nothing about acting.
And if you went on a casting couch to suck some hobos doodoo... it's just an uncomfortable situation for you that challenges you. Lol.

They have body doubles for this reason.
They have contracts.
They have agents.
It's one thing being diddled without permission, its another having an entire studio stand against you and force you to do something you dont want to.

Nudity is an actors/actresses choice.
It's not to challenge them.
It has nothing to do with ones acting ability.

Shes gonna get herself in some hot water soon if she continues these shots. Lotr bs she had. This. Marvel will be next. It sounds like she voiced concerns after she gets paid.

Ehhmm... where were the bare chests/rontals/bums in Lost? It was tame as tropical island sci-fi adventures go. Philosopheraptor Lame..... get over yer gawd damn self! You got paid good coin and allowed you to progress your career.. move on! Everyone in Hollywood likely has a shiet-ton of skeletons they could wine about but who doesn't in that biz? it's not even about nudity but I guess you didn't understand it at all Very Happy Fo one actor it could be nudity (OMG I have to show my BACK!!!?? lol), for another, it could be playing a hobo or Hitler, you name it.

We do things we don't like every day at our job. I don't see anyone apologizing for it.

If a scene requires or logically entails some sort of nudity here and there, then don't be a pussy and do what is required of you especially if the natural flow of the scene demands it (I always giggled when I saw actresses( mostly American actresses, Europeans don't have this issue with sexuality on the screen) having sex either fully clothed or pretty close to that in situations where it looks utterly out of place. It would have been better if they had just implied it instead.

Besides, it wasn't even NUDITY, just some lame pg13 shots ffs which is why it's so pathetic.

PS ANd I'm perfectly aware of these things

Wearing a bra during sex scenes usually has me screaming to the screen: THEN DONT DO A FUCKING FUCK SCENE! (Not really but damn it looks so alien) Razz Same with the covers always being strategically there or other nonsense.

Or I just have weird sex compared to everyone else. Poker Face

If theres nudity they tell you beforehand.
They tell you before you sign up.
They discuss it with you.
It never comes up as a surprise.

Even if the nudity makes sense the discussion happens before the set is dressed up and cameras are warmed up.

I always find it hilarious when movies/shows that don't have a mature rating, feature a strip club and all the "dancers" are clothed and aren't doing anything too risqué. Laughing

It is somewhat interesting and mysterious at the beginning, but the last season simply ... sux.

And this should have been the real ending:

I gave up somewhere halfway season 2. I remember something with that kid, Walt, who could control birds or something?
The show was just piling mysteries and questions upon mysteries/questions, it was pretty clear already they would never answer everything.
Never looked back, never cared again Very Happy

While the show had some intriguing premises, it was structured like a constant low-brow trolling session which made me eventually abandon the Lindelofian island. I would recommend The Leftovers instead, the only series where Lindelof is involved that combines well-written mystery with genuinely great acting and a satisfying conclusion.

Eh, I did watch it to its end back then, it was quite a ride !
Too bad they opened up too many plot lines and didn't bother offering satisfactory answers for most of them - but that part which irked a lot of people (understandably so) was mostly on purpose. There was some excellent stuff in that series, overall. Its atmosphere was pretty unique, and the acting was pretty solid.
It's most definitely worth a watch in my book, prepare to watch/read some additional explanations about all the subplots though Very Happy ; it did help me in understanding a number of details a lot better and made me consider its ending in a better light.

I loved LOST, became totally obsessed with it after they opened the Hatch.
Read all the theories, watched every clip, checked DarkUFO daily...
Felt giddy every week and it just kept getting better and more intriguing. Then halfway through Season 6 suddenly it started to feel like something was wrong and from then on it just all went to shit.
They somewhat forced the Island story to an ok-ish end but that spiritual afterlife crap just did the show in for me. Adios. It retroactively ruined a lot of the previous seasons too. I've never watched it since Laughing
What's funny is that back when the Finale aired, a lot of people actually seemed to like the ending. But this was just denial it seems Laughing I'm glad that there's quite a consensus nowadays that it sucked and underdelivered.

As a huge mystery fan I originally loved most of it, then was disappointed with the last season.
It's not a show as objectively great as something like Breaking Bad, and it has it's ups and downs for sure, and it's dragged out too much at points (too many episodes) but there's so many fascinating questions it brings up that you can think about... it's insane and I love it. The drama is also really good a lot of the time imo.

But I have since come to accept that I don't need all the answers and that's fine, and I rewatched it a couple years ago and even enjoyed the final season. Overall it was even better than I remembered.
The show has so many memorable moments and characters that I'll never forget...

I remember lots of rage from the internet for the ending back then, with many people believing it meant that none of it was real or whatever, which just isn't the case.
I think it's fine and it doesn't ruin anything for me.

Namaste.
