Alright alright alright.
You kids need to stop bickering about a cheesy sci-fi flick starring a guy from parks and rec. Like seriously. Movie is on par of mind numbing marvel movies or typical Disney movie or generic fill the theater movie. It is cookie cutter cliche bs. It is a fun watch. Who gives a flying fuck which sci fi movie is better. Seriously. There are many better sci fi movies than 2001. And there are worse sci fi movies than plan 9 from outer space.
If you enjoy it, enjoy it. If you don't then don't. Stop waving your criterion collection dicks. Ffs. Even that prestige, important collection of movies of all time has utter shit on it.
So we can't discuss our opinions about certain movies and point out what we did and didn't like?
So we can't discuss our opinions about certain movies and point out what we did and didn't like?
it's just like, everyone knew before that this movie will be mindless trash and you act like it would be hyped and advertised like it's a nolan movie and now your sad and try to talk it down.
it's an amazon movie with one "good" or lets say known actor and if you have seen the trailer before, you shouldn't be surprised at all.
i haven't seen it yet, but i guess after seeing some reviews, it can be fun, at least if you know before that it will be totally stupid and don't expect anything. it's not like every movie needs to be a masterpiece, has to make sense or anything else. it still can be fun, even with stupid plot holes and if it can't be fun for you, then im sorry for you. makes me actually sad.
of course you can discuss how much you want, but to me it seems you just want to discuss this movie because you are bored. discuss about a movie which is worth it at least. and of course this goes on for one page now, maybe it's time to start a thread for this movie then.
I only rant because nu-schlock blockbusters are so poorly written I never reach "it's a popcorn shit movie fun mode", they are so bad my brain can't park into stupid mode for enjoyment. They've made classic schlock like Armaggedon now feel like Pulitzer award winning masterpieces in comparison.
The worst thing about tomorrow war is how absolutely bad the action sequences are written. They feel like fast forward and stepping on the same spot at the same time. It's also one trope after another. I can't care less about the time travel issues, those are silly anyway.
It was ok, but kinda laughed at the "all girls good, just manipulated" -aspect of the movie, especially with one of the main bad guys.
I did like Yelena and I can see her maybe becoming a new Black Widow.
So we can't discuss our opinions about certain movies and point out what we did and didn't like?
No I'm saying you shouldn't bicker about someone's opinion and claim that their opinion is shit and my opinion is right and should be followed.
There are people who genuinely enjoyed the movie. And that movie is made for them.
Black widow
Spoiler:
so she died in endgame cause she had nothing to live for and no family to go back to but in this movie she does have family and reasons to come back. To become a better person like she always wanted.
/10
Should have been a 4 episode story on disney+
Nothing theatrical in this.
Very whedonesque script.
Too much comical bickering.
Nonsensical.
Silly.
Capn marvel is a better movie/10.
I visit this thread from time to time and the last good movie recommendations I got here here were Boss Level and Nobody but since then... nada. So I found myself 2 good Netflix movies, in case you guys are looking for something to watch.
A fall from Grace 7/10
I care a lot 8/10
Nice movies, now you guys recommend me something nice cuz the weekend is coming.
Furious 9 (yes, I'm that guy).
A lot of "muh family" stuff so obvious why there are so many memes about it. And a lot of characters where probably put together for next movie (hopefully last one). Too much stuff going on so it got annoying really quickly (tried my best to put my brain into standby mode).
Cipher was completely unnecessary in this one.
Nice movies, now you guys recommend me something nice cuz the weekend is coming.
The Father
The Two Popes
The Rite
Fracture
The World's Fastest Indian
The Edge
...all Hopkins, and all great , but if your in for a laugh...
The Tomorrow War It really will split your sides, and a good one if you wish to get the kids to sleep, plus open your eyes as to how a movie should not be made.
Black Widow/10. Okeish for the popcorns,as Marvels videos usualy go.
My expectations were vey low as Marvels formulaic safe production line just couldnt do justice to BW character. --> A femme fatal in the 2020".. not hapening.
She alwasy felt out of place in the past movies including this one.
Never felt so bored at an MCU movie before, not even Cpt. Marvel or Thor 2.
Spoiler:
A huge secret air-base was falling out of the sky exploding all over the place, and I kept glancing at the remaining time.
The stakes were completely moot, at this point everyone knows that in these one-off movies the good guys win, bad guys lose. Maybe a hint at a possible sequel if the movie generates enough profit (
Spoiler:
in this case that whole hunting for the remaining widows thing
).
The villain was even less impressive than any other before in the MCU, and that's saying something. He barely had more screen time than Stan Lee did in any of his cameos. And wasting Taskmaster like this...bish-bash-bosh, she's cured, now GTFO of the movie. Seriously. BW leaves her on the ground after what was supposed to be some emotional moment, and never gets even acknowledged by anyone in the same scene after that.
The fight choreography was great, and some of the characters were pretty good...well, Alexei mostly, nobody else really stood out as an actual character. And that's about it.
I guess the sister will be the next BW (that whole Total-Recall-era-Sharon-Stone vibe really did it for me, so no complaints here). And got to say, Weisz is still smoking.
Black Widow:
Better than Captain Marvel. Very by the numbers movie. They didn't fuck this up like DC fucked up WW84, but it didn't do anything special either. 6.5/10 I would've loved to give this 7 if David Harbour had anything else to do than be a fucking clown.
As a TV-movie it's pretty good. The girl actress does a good job of portraying her character. I haven't watched this in a decade or more while I watched the Omen trilogy only a year ago. The ending was either open ended for a sequel or it was a "good" ending where the classic good vs evil struggle didn't end as it usually does.
Hitman's wife Bodyguard - abysmal bad/10
There were zero fucks given regarding directing, script, editing... overall everything. It was like a parody in style of "Meet the Spartans", everyone was on cocain while thinking about scenes, jokes. I can say script it's just a bunch of unfunny, ultracringe jokes and body comedy. Too fucking long.
I hate Ryan Reynolds now, he can go fuck himself with Aviation bottle.
Having uncurable cancer is more fun than this movie. Fuck this movie.
