There is another DRM, besides Denuvo. Capcom took the Ubisoft approach.

Okay after reading this shitshow.
I do want to say something which i am sure no-one will believe.

But i bought the game, legit - playing it on my PC in 1440P or 4K - i can't remember I tihink 1440 - I 7770K - Gefore 1080TI.
And i truly never ever had an stuttering when i killed zombie or when i encountered the fly witches.

When i encountered the fly witch - the first time - i dropped from 600 FPS to 58 FPS for a millisecond and after that clean 60 FPS.

I know people have issues with the performance, and I do not say it doesn't exist i just want to clarify - that it seems to hit certain hardware? cause i had no issues whatsoever.

zero chance of this being true. Run the frametime graph in rivatunner and observe it specifically when you shot an enemy. Its not a universall manifestation of this issue, is when you shoot an enemy and with those 3 cunts. This is a problem hardcoded into the game, there's no "it ran fine for me, never saw it"

Not everyone has the issue, but it's widespread.

Absolutely everyone has the issue, since its the way the game was released. Every time an enemy dies, there's a single spike on the frametime graph. Its not system dependent, its how the game is.

We know how people are. "There is no difference between 30 and 60 fps. Its all in your head" etcetc. Im sure if you look hard enough you'd find someone who cant see the difference in graphics between mario 64 and cyberpunk

He, and me, are talking about the flies. Not everyone gets stutters from them.

edit: I see now he mentioned killing enemies too. Missed that!

The first release disabled some of the animations for a couple enemies since the drm triggers where tied to them, this has been fixed now and the animations play as intended.

For me personally, I was playing the game at a pretty constant high framerate (100+) on my 3080. Whenever those witches did the fly attack, the fps would plummet to 20-30.

I always assumed it was just a driver issue, but obv Denuvo was to blame.

Based on Empress its not denuvo but the capcom drm that got wrapped in denuvo that caused the issues.

Which animation, throughout the entire game?

I don't really understand the obsession these companies have with stopping anything other than day 1 piracy.

I get wanting to stop the immediate release, but I'd be shocked if they make an arseload of sales past that from an uncracked game. I've always reckoned the people who will buy the game will do so, and those who won't will just wait for a crack.

I wouldn't be surprised if the handful of sales they get from the impatient barely even cover the cost of the Denuvo license.

Hopefully this very long REVerse delay means they'll throw in some coop mode or something

If it stays as it was and just polished a bit more, that won't help it I think

It's just gonna die in a week like their last attempts at shitty multiplayer pvp shooters nobody asked for
And probably they're just delaying to integrate RE8 levels and characters (previously this had RE7 chris for example)

wtf? are they claiming this is made up? or do they have a version of RE8 with denuvo but without capcom's own DRM? wtf?

fuck off, denuvo

Well I dont need this game. The beginning already was so stupid and bad with dozens of werewolves....no thx. But its what they always do now. They keep Denuvo for a few weeks and then destroy it. Good. We pirates just have to be patient!
