I actually read some of the comments in the reddit thread...
My fucking god these retards are actually buying everything they can in this game and some even know it's a shit game but still sunk 50 hours into it. Some intense Stockholm Syndrome shit.

I didn't have a problem supporting the devs because they're incredibly talented and the actual product IS good.
This is actually worse then just the fact they want to monetize it:
A XP booster for a single player game. Just let that sink in. So what they are actually saying is that the game isn't fun enough for a full playthrough and that you're better off paying for the premium experience, that is in fact skipping content.

The best part was how they nerfed XP gains a few months back

It's not like they are the first. That has been Ubisoft's MO for a while now, for example. The second Middle-Earth game was also designed around deliberate grind to incentivise its cash shop.
Game is saved mens!
Such a stupid decision but it was probably thought very early on, when they thought this crap was going to be a hit.
"And then people might think "Hey, this game is awesome and spidey will be amazing... might as well get the PS5 version too!", right guys?" "DO EET"

Maybe his web is clinging onto the physical particles in the clouds? Not as dumb an idea as Wonder Woman 1984 where she was lassoing lightning bolts to get momentum to sad fly.
Further changes are coming to Marvel's Avengers, though Square Enix isn't ready to reveal a full roadmap.
In a new development update, the team lists some new features heading to the game and admits that systems built at launch "haven't grown and aren't sufficiently delivering the most fun Super Hero team experience".
Patch 2.3 is set for release in March and will bring a number of changes in advance of a full roadmap of content.
Firstly, there's a rework of the War Table and the mission-select system based on Nick Fury returning to lead SHIELD. That means changes in how to find, select and launch missions "to improve the flow for new players to reduce frustration in the leveling process".
The change will also create "larger, more concentrated matchmaking pools for higher-level players".
Further balances to gear perks will be made and they'll be earnable through a wider set of play activities.
The Shipments feature added in patch 2.2 will be refined due to its impact on the Units economy, with Units added as additional rewards to a number of end-game activities.
In the last update, the team also experimented with allowing players to earn weekly rewards through Omega-Level Threat and the Raid per Hero rather than per account. This will be extended to Mega Hive missions.
Lastly, the next update will fix bugs and fine-tune systems.
"Stay tuned to our dev blogs and livestreams for more info about Patch 2.3 where we plan to go over the changes in detail as we get closer to release. We also can't wait to share more about our long-term plans and will do so as soon as our teams finalize development and launch schedules," reads the update.
"We've loved our adventures together, and we're excited to show and share with you the adventures we have planned for new ways to fight, new Heroes to fight with, new challenges to face and how we plan to continue expanding Marvel's Avengers."
Many players were disappointed with Marvel's Avengers at launch and later criticised the developers for selling progression boosts.
The She-Hulk voice actress herself leaked this info months ago so it is not anything new and being that the host said he was studying acting from her, it makes sense he would have seen the twitter post when she announced it so that is probably why he thought it was already officially announced.
The CD dev just not confirming it and caught on the spot in a live broadcast I guess makes it newsworthy, but it is understandable why they are not confirming anything as a lot of stuff that was on the roadmap last year with the old leadership and dev team still has not come out and each hero has taken like 6 months to come out so we will probably not see She-Hulk till Christmas since they just released Jane Foster Thor.
Fem Thor didnt get a mini Campaign and plays pretty much exactly like Thor, wonder if they do the same with She-Hulk. The scope of new hero content sure was scaled way down.
I bet they had something in their contract with Marvel for a specific length of time like 3 years they had to support the game since they are shutting it down exactly at that point. If it was not for them being forced to release Spider-Man on Playstation and probably the required support time it seems like they would have shut the game down long ago.
I find it funny they are still trying to sell in game credits for real money even after this announcement as they just released 2 new costumes to the store yesterday hoping to get people to spend money on the game still that may not have see the announcement.
