For me the cinematics of the first act (the only one I got to play so far) were choppy.
The rest of the game seemed OK. Did anyone have that? Know how to fix?

Blizzard need to downgrade the videos 240p, best fix
was very addicted to the original back in the days, trying to force myself not to play too much atm (which isnt a problem right now, servers are down... like yesterday... even that shit is the same like in the early 2000s )
I FUCKING NAILED IT AND PREDICTED THIS EXACT SHIT of servers getting crushed under new games created loads, they dont play nor watch on twitch their own fucking game and didnt think that all people would mass create games folr magicfind WHEN EVERY FOKKING STREAMER HAS BEEN DOING IT SINCE THE LAST TWO DECADES, the dumb cunts
"We mention “modern player behavior” because it’s an interesting point to think about. In 2001, there wasn’t nearly as much content on the internet around how to play Diablo II “correctly” (Baal runs for XP, Pindleskin/Ancient Sewers/etc for magic find, etc). Today, however, a new player can look up any number of amazing content creators who can teach them how to play the game in different ways, many of them including lots of database load in the form of creating, loading, and destroying games in quick succession.Though we did foresee this–with players making fresh characters on fresh servers, working hard to get their magic-finding items–we vastly underestimated the scope we derived from beta testing."
ugh the fact that peak player count is still rising after a worse launch then d3 and daily outtages makes me think gamers have become hopeless cows these days, not to mention how fucked up multiplayer is on the console versions
cow idiot gamers giving stupid devs their money means u get sour overpriced spoilt late delivered milk on ur doorstep
Das only in the mo'nin. You should be up already at work or sumpin'
(servers have gone down in the morning 6 days in a row).
It's been great for me for the most part. When i get home the servers are fine. Whats troubling to me is the games list showing a few dozen games when there's, according to Blizz, hundreds of thousands of players on at the same time.
Used to be a command in the old game to check population... guess they took it out. Trade secrets and all that.
The game was best played via LAN or online through hamachi, modders eventually ran more reliable private realms as well if you really needed public servers. I wouldn't waste my time on Bliz USA 500ms servers. Anyway they removed these pesky features from D2R for max value.
Pulled out a pc magazine from back then to reread the Diablo 2 review. They didnt even test battlenet at launch because it wasnt working They did a Diablo 2 multiplayer review in the next issue once blizzard sorted that shit out. And there was also an article in the following issue how they fucked up the game with patch 1.03. Discs werent working, spells broken, players kicked randomly out of battlenet.
Same with WOW at launch. It seems even after literal decades pass, developers still cant get their shit together for launches of this nature. They're always "surprised"

I must admit i never played anything but BNET till i tried PathofDiablo which emulates Bnet servers.
If i read it correctly from that Blizz post, sounds like the legacy design has everything bottleneck into one server that stores your progress.. seems.. pretty predictable that this would have happened.
"In this time, we’ve seen significant improvement in decreasing queue times as players now on average wait less than 60 seconds to enter Sanctuary and get in-game."
yeah lol cause people stopped playing u gloating assturds ...
The PC version is on sale now matching the console sale prices that happened a few weeks ago. The way Blizzard is they probably will not have a bigger discount on this for at least another year so I think I will pick up the Diablo Prime Evil Collection since I never bothered with Diablo 3 yet so might as well get the full collection with D2 and D3 and its expansions for $42.
Wish they'd add that players8 function on battle.net when playing solo. Shoulda played single player in the first place but my cousin was playing, but he's since quit.
Spent too many hours to start over, got my Enigma, Hoto, 1 soj, anni
Blizzard has released a brand new update for Diablo 2: Resurrected. According to the team, this latest update brings major balance tweaks and changes to almost every class. Moreover, it packs a number of AI tweaks, and adds a new Legacy Graphics Emulation option.
Legacy Graphics Emulation sports 3 different emulation options for the Legacy game graphics. The options are ‘GDI’, ‘Glide’, and ‘Resurrected’.
‘GDI’ emulates the software rasterization of the original legacy game and does not apply any filtering
‘Glide’ emulates the hardware-accelerated backend of the original legacy game with bilinear filtering
‘Resurrected’ uses the Glide emulation with additional fixes in place to address an artifact that would occur with the original Glide rendering
The Glide Mode will undoubtedly put a smile on the face of every 3DFX fan.
Alongside these legacy options, Update 2.4 brings some performance optimizations. For instance, it optimizes particle effects on some console platforms. It also optimizes inventory quick-move actions to reduce delay. Furthermore, it adds a VFX quality option for PC players, as well as a VRAM usage bar in the settings menu.
