Vanced has SponserBlock as a builtin feature , and it also supports logging in with your account so u can get the personalized experience that the actual youtube app offers,things like recommendations etc.
With NewPipe u can download videos and save it separately on ur phone unlike vanced which is a fork of the real thing so it only supports downloading in app only. |

I'm digging these wrapped apps that serve as a condom between you and the big ones, there definitely should be more of these for different platforms to have more control over what you share with them.

Not sure if anyone else got the mail...but Youtube is suggesting dumb ass things now.
Mail was about tips for creators. One of the tips?:

Yeah, not getting the whole TikTok appeal here too  Mostly it's making faces or showing boobs and ass.
BTW, as I am subscribed to a few guns channels and watch such videos frequently . Mine Shorts section is full of almost naked girls shooting full auto

They just don't like that people resist the constant wokeness and corporate propaganda that is forced upon them, so they take away one ability to communicate it.
Dislike ratio was also very useful to spot those crappy fake videos with robot voiceovers. It will only make it harder to maneuver the site now.

if you haven't noticed, comments are sorted by Likes, so if the "Dislike" comment gets thousands of likes it will be first in the comments.
No one "reads all comments". I read the top ones, and sometimes i sort by time in case something new/interesting happened since the video was released.
The White House has a big dislike ratio for everything they release. They've turned off comments obviously but rest assured they've contacted YT about the Dislike. Disney is another big player who must be furious to see that fans can have a voice and an opinion and not liking everything.
YT claiming it's to protect the small creators is hilarious, they've completely moved away from caring about any small creators, the people who built their platform. They won't promote them in the search results etc, they only shill for the big corporations.
This will really make YT suck even worse, it'll be impossible to know if a video is useful or complete garbage, unless it's a channel you already know really well. We will now have to go with; if comments are turned off - avoid.
