What about CPU and GPU usage at your rigs guys? Garbage or 100%?
well i was watching some twitch streamer play and a i9 9xxx with a 3090gpu runs with 25% cpu and 50% gpu at 2k res and between 55-70 fps so it seems very unoptimized to some degree
The game at ultra settings runs okay, but not great. I'm averaging around 70/80ish fps. I'm finding the menu system just hard work and clunky. Everything feels like it's extra clicks away, big and bulky and I hate the crackling sound when clicking on things. Didn't like that in the beta.
Graphics I feel are a step back from BF1/5. Their okay but just not great and there is somewhat of a blurring issue with the world. The world(s) feels empty and soulless too. The sound again is lacking but I do know why this is. One of the main sound engineers at DICE, Mr. Minto has left and formed his own company (friend of the family). Basically a lot of talent has gone onto new things.
I honestly feel a little let down by the game. I was hoping for something better and a little more padded out. Only Conquest and Breakthrough are available unless you want to play Portal. I'm not to much of a fan of portal but maybe that will change in time.
I'm glad I managed to get it cheap via a VPN before EA closed it off the next day but if I had paid full whack for this, I would be asking for a refund.
Give it a year and hopefully it'll be in a better state. But lets face it, that's every BF game to date !

You have to move the attachment you want to the closest slot of the weapon. For example, the closest sight is iron sight, you select it (right click I believe) and then select the cope you want instead of it. I can't remember the last time I've seen something this stupid.
Ok, played it more and hands down, this is a terrible game.
The only good thing about it is the Portal mode, but even that is very limited.
The "core" part of the new BF is utter shit. Map design is unbelievably bad. They made maps enormously big and that's it. There was no thought put into them beyond that.
The shooting mechanics are dog shit. You can't hit shit beyond 30 meters distance because of the insane random bullet spread and game straight up ignoring like 50% of hits.
Graphics are bad. For some fucked up reason it is very hard to see anything. And the fact that weather changes a lot is even worse. 70% of the games I'm looking at some stupid orange or dark filters because that's how weather works obviously.
Guns, meh. Only 20 or so of them, while the rest is locked behind stupid live-service shit.
Specialists are a cringe-fest and serve absolutely no purpose in the game, except to push microtransactions and make stupid "woke" people happy. Why the fuck is it important to know whom some random avatar in the MP game fucks?
UI is again terrible. Nothing else to add here.
The sound is laughably bad. But hey, at least we can hear those transgender characters yelling around us. Yey!
On top of that, the majority of the time I get some random error when trying to join a game. And a bunch of people is having the same problem. Some said that turning off cross-play helps, but it didn't in my case.
Oh, and fuck this practice of removing scoreboards and K/D/A stats in games. Imagine playing a racing game and not seeing the leaderboards, or playing a football game and not seeing goals. The fuck is this shit?
Squad/Party is limited to only four people. And since there is no server browser, you can't play with more friends. There were 7 of us and we couldn't play together. 128 players on servers, and you can't play with your friends. What the fuck is that shit?!
Overall, fuck this game and all the idiots who are responsible for the direction it took. It is a terrible, terrible game with the only saving grace being a very limited Portal mode.
Ugh, I can't remember when was the last time some game really made me mad so much.
Shoutout to Microsoft and their 1$ deal on Game pass. I can't imagine paying 60€ for this pile of shit called BF 2042.

A Battlefield 2042 skin that references the Russo-Ukrainian War will be renamed, DICE has said.
DICE was criticised for the epic-tier "Little Green Man" skin for Battlefield 2042 specialist Pyotr "Boris" Gukovsky.
"Little green men" was a name given to masked Russian soldiers who wore unmarked (without insignia) green army uniforms during the Ukrainian crisis of 2014.

I tried the 10 hour demo for €3,99 but I'm glad I didn't buy it full price. The portal mode is cool, and you get some nostalgic feelings with the good old Bad Company 2 maps, but other than that it's just pure trash. It runs like shit, it looks bad compared to BF1/BF5 and gunplay changed as well.
There are 3 versions you can buy. Standard edition, gold edition and deluxe edition.
The ones who bought gold/deluxe editions are the ones who can play the game right now. Standard edition buyers have to wait until the 19th.
However, BF Portal is not fully implanted yet (correct me if im wrong) and only has some small stuff you can do right now.
