its as obvious as it can be man, not sure why you think i dont get it.. theyre not (entirely) woke, they're just missing out on making great comedy of something which was an extremely retarded thing. If you've ever seen the earlier season 1-8'ish its something SP did really well and one of the biggest reasons to watch it.. They applied common sense to attack idiotic things happening in our society, now they're just part of the same idiocy, not completely because they do get some things right, but clearly they didn't have the balls to do it here.
Will take a look to be honest i wish they would be less about current events and just make fun shit with the kids doing kids stuff..
All my favorite episodes expect perhaps one or two (with Randy being the main character) are about the kids doing their things.. awesome-o, lord of the rings episode, casa bonita, Scott Tenorman Must Die, Good Times with Weapons + many of the episodes in s1-s3 are also really great.. all episodes with the weed farm and trump/politics episodes really made me lose interest in it, really boring and uninspired overall, same joke over and over.
S8 is amazing, almost every episode there (especially the first 5) is as good as they get, apart from a few eps which are in the 7/10 range.
Can only agree with the sentiment, sometimes I wish they talked less about current events (even as a regular weed smoker who should be "sympathetic" to the subject, the weed farm thing got old pretty quickly) and a little more about the kids in themselves. Seems like the recent seasons can't decide between either

Many fans are getting tired of the Tegridy stuff. I think it was fun, but yes they've overused it. Time to find something else for Randy.
While the Pandemic Special was basically all about Randy, the Vaccination special is mostly about the Boys again. Randy has been relegated to a short cameo at the end

Aye, season 8 was the last truly great South Park season, the downfall started in season 9 and has been getting worse and worse since.
With the exception of the games, its very obvious that they put alot of passion and effort in writing those.
Hope they make another game, and that they are in the creative lead for it. It's healthy to do something else once in a while, good for inspiration, mood, creativity.
The covidian SouthparQ was not quite as special as I hoped it would be, but reality has been so ridiculously absurd in the past few months (with USA leading the clown fiesta as per usual) that it's pretty difficult to create effective satire in these troubled times. At least it could serve as a new potentially interesting starting point, though they have to handle it wisely and carefully. Make South Park nice again!

Their new deal, which runs through 2027, covers six more cycles of “South Park” and includes 14 made-for-streaming movies.

I grabbed the OST for it but I honestly get that the alternates that played in the event I saw were better than the OST versions, in some cases at least, not all since most were the same.
