there's no competition for bf or cod, last contender i had hopes for was world war 3, they hyped the shit out of it and screwed up royally.
it is not difficult to make a better game than these 2 but seems nobody is seeing the obvious to create one that's cool, similar to either, depending on which one you want, and just works.

Hard to compete with blockbuster games. Will be a costly affair and people given the choice will select what they know. Was the last failing one titanfall? was hyped for its campaign, but didnt hear much about its multiplayer

Cause the successfuly spin off multiplayer game to Titanfall is: Apex Legends. I honestly don't get how they are related though  |

have to disagree on this one, if somebody makes a cool game, ppl that enjoy it will spread the word and it will be successful.
e.g. that pirate game from indie devs, blackwake or sumthing, there are others ofc, it died down down coz devs ultimately failed to deliver after initial success but it did very well at the beginning, also that newer one Valheim which sold more than 10 million copies.
so being a AAA publisher doesn't mean anything but the fact they can burn a ton of money, and still can't make a decent game.
a good FPS can be made a small focused studio.

Maybe more players are on origin ๐ you can get Origin key for 35e compared to 60 on steam.
Anyway I still have trial from gamepass, so I will check the patch for sure
