Nope, I believe the remake was going to be split into 3 games, but to quote what's on the FF7 Remake Wiki:
"Final Fantasy VII Remake is the first in a planned series of games remaking the 1997 PlayStation game Final Fantasy VII. It covers the first section of the original game, set in the metropolis Midgar;[1] Tim Rogers of Action Button estimated that Remake covers approximately 30% of the original game's story.[2]"

What is there, is definitely good and a very worthy "remake", being a fan of the original that I played as a kid. The characters are there, the atmosphere, the music, all well done.
It most likely will go in different directions onwards though, don't expect a remake but more of an alternate version, but dont wanna go too much into details.

It's not really a remake anyway. It's fun enough, but I fear that if they ever decide to release more episodes/installments, the writing will be at Kingdom Hearts levels.

Original was better though and that is not nostalgia glasses. Played the original for the first time one week before the release of the remake. They upped the japcrap nonsense levels to the extremest extreme in the remake to make each installment feel "epic"

Is there any mod or unofficial remake/patch? To make it more modern? Or is it perfectly playable aesthetics & all with an emulator? Original PSX FFVII of course.

Square uses the big "D", therefore it will take some time if the game doesnt have a flaw or unprotected.exe.
So, the chances are rather slim to get a demo soon.

i am curious as to what you guys will make of it... personally i found it draaaaaaags on while gameplay/atmosphere/etc weren't all that exciting tbh (at least not compared to how i experienced the original back in the days)
