The port could be better. Performance is ok thb for a lazy port, i'm not bothered with it.

Great game to be honest. Nothing realy stands out but the combination of the story, entertaining (yet casual) combat music and general pacing of the make makes this a masterpiece. There isn't a dull moment. The game is on rails for most of the time and combat isn't all to deep and easy, but somehow it doesn't matter. It never gets boring. And i'm bored with every jRPG in 15 hours in general. Recommended for all. Be aware it's an action orientated casual rpg light. So don't expect souls like combat or deep RPG mechanics.

Can't believe people are justifying everything about this game coz Final Fantasy.

Game should be burned to the ground, pulled from the store and released once it's a proper port.

I haven't run it in its vanilla form, but with some mods it's buttery smooth, never drops from 120FPS. There's only one place I've found that stutters occur, in the slums at the main entrance, it's obviously an asset loading area.

The combat is better than I thought it'd be. It's still too easy but it's an improvement on FFXV. The entire game is more fluid and responsive than FFXV which is nice.

Some of the new story additions are good as well. Going through the neighborhood with Jesse and friends, it has a great atmosphere. Some other additions... like that SOLDIER guy... aren't so great.

For PC it would have been nice if some of the backgrounds were higher res, the fact that you're surrounded by a giant image most of the time is very noticeable. And the textures are too low res for most objects in the world.

Glad it's out, but I didn't pay for it, nor will I while it's full price and exclusive to EGS. Maybe by the time it hits Steam things will be better, but knowing SE, it probably won't be.

Did anybody find a full savegame for the PC version? Ideally not only story complete, but also with everything maxed out (no problem if modding was used).

I am somehow unable to find a good savegame... Or are the PS4 saves compatible by chance?

Edit: This should work: https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy7remake/mods/54

So you have to pay 80 euro's for a playstation port and they need more then a month for the first bugfix.
Although I realy appreciate Square Enix for their effort trying to make good SP games against all odds while losing money: fuck em. Not gonno spend money on their shit.

NFT is more important than patches.

SE only very very rarely patches it's SP games. Probably FF15 was the only exception because they had most of the stuff nearly ready anyway (just not in time for launch) and they were getting a lot of shit about the game overall.

I assume it's part of their work culture. Release SP game, move on to the next one. Also while it's definitely unfortunate, it also is probably at least a bit required because it's not very easy to make money on SP-only games compared to MP.

This looks really good.

I've read that it doesn't work with the Steam version though, you need the original .exe for this mod to work?

nice!!! REBIRTH next year
FF7r was fantastic and it suprised me because I never played ff game before.
I even played and finished xv after it and also loved it.

The crisis core this year is... like a prequel to 7 right? I might get it too

Yeah but shoddy Square EGS practices don't warrant your 12 month later buy:

Yeah its out if your a sucker and support the Epic Derp Store.

A 7/10 game as well really:

- It's good if you want a cinematic high budget action game.
- The motorbike sequences are agonizingly bad.
- Endgame is a bit meh.
- The game is very linear which is good if you just want a casual cinematic story. You can complete all the content without grinding/time wasting for 100 hours.
- If your a FF7 fanboy they made safe changes to the story most fans reportedly don't like, i never played classic FF7 (didn't care) but mileage will vary.
