I got one on announce day through sheer luck, and one in the sony queue randomly on my phone when i was at work (for my cousin who was having no luck hammering the server). Its just RNG. Just let people fucking back order it already. One per address/account (with history). Fuck's sake its been what 2 years now?
There's been no killer apps anyway. Demons Souls was cool but it's no Bloodborne. Horizon is just another repetitive open world crapgame. Returnal is good but it's not worth the console. The UI is trash compared to the PS4 (folders? why switch what the PS button does? why?). The controllers are for the most part an overhyped gimmick and i've already had to take one apart to fix, and i probably don't even have 150 hours played total. Very disappointing so far
I bought 1 year of PS Now for 60 bucks, which automatically upgrades to 1 year of PS+ Premium in june, which usually costs 120 bucks.
Gonna give it a try for a year at this price.

I bought the disc version, and feel stupid about it. My rationale was that maybe in 2983743938274 years, when they shut down the store, only disc games will be playable, but games today are so broken on discs, anyway, it doesn't really makes sense. When I bought mine, the price difference between disc and digital was like 150โช, so meh, but still. Design-wise, the digital PS5 looks better, so even just for that reason, I am kind of annoyed. The PS5 is one ugly motherfucker.

I did the same - I'm curious to try it out and Returnal is a game I'd like to play but would never buy so it compensates up to a point regardless of the rest of the library. I know some were using the so-called 'loophole' to stack seven, eight years of it at $60/ยฃ50 a time but I'm fairly sure a year of playing old gen stuff and realising how crap most of it is, along with the bucket of shovelware and games-that-everybody-has-or-aren't-interested-in that will make up the PS4/PS5 section will be more than enough for me.
*an update* I just (tried) to play Fallout New Vegas via Now - one of my favourite games from back in the day...streamed ok on my PS5, but oh my god did it look BAD! I'm not a graphics whore at all but I just couldn't play it. Think I'll need to be on drugs to play much more of that old stuff
The Bethesda games are made for modding, you can improve how they look around 1000% by using mods... playing those games on consoles, why on earth would anyone do that...

i haven't sub'd to that garbage PS Plus in years. The games they include every month are almost always laughable. Garbage indie or games as a service trash. Adding old games with input lag doesn't exactly sweeten the deal for me. But if you need to play your playstation online, eh.
