Hogwarts Legacy's release date has been pushed back a bit with the game no longer scheduled to release in 2022. However, those looking forward to the Harry Potter game will be happy to hear that the delay isn't an indefinite one. A new release date of February 10, 2023, has been set in an announcement shared on Friday.
It does look cool but then I saw all tho "Ubisoft icons" and felt instant letdown. And then checked the developer and it's Avalanche Software whose only games in the last 20 years are mostly on consoles and for small children. Hannah Montana: Spotlight World Tour, Disney Infinity, Toy Story, Cars... Well, maybe this will be their big breakthrough into the big boys developers but having my doubts.
Too much focus on customizing this and that, buy furniture etc. very little in these showcases shows any super interesting gameplay really.
To me its a warning sign when there's so much focus on placing shit in rooms, like they know its lacking and they had to make something for the player to do in the game.
Some of the mechanics are cool, such as seasons, but if the game doesn't have some really great quests, good combat (didn't look great) it's gonna suck.
The graphics aren't that good either, i mean for a 2023 game. Witcher 3 (2015) looks about equally good... i also get the feeling the map here is small, it's never something they mention of brag about, if it was big they would absolutely showcase that to get people excited.
I'm fine with people shitting on Rowling. She deserves it for being so brave as to make certain characters gay after the books were over, expecting to be praised and lauded by people for being so progressive.
Dumbledore being gay is fine, but only if she actually wrote him as gay in the books. It's like if Tolkien's estate came out and said that Gandalf really liked licking feet, that's why he always hung out at the shire, to appeal to the foot fetish crowd.
