Schreier claims on twitter just now that internally the original release date was refered to by the devs as "Next Cyberpunk". So the 11-11-22 date wasnt taking into account the realities of game development, they just wanted to hit that date. Mentioning Cyberpunk apparently is enough for most companies now to back off
Guess the guy who "leaked" the info regarding starfield 's issues that is the one laughing now. Oh and who the hell gives a fuck about that redfall garbagio?

can't find the article where he supposedly says this though. maybe it's made up.. there's a clickable IGN link in the tweet, but he says nothing like that. there are also other people saying it's in an IGN article but they dont link to it.
Though i don't get why people are exactly shocked since Todd does even elaborate that it's not really written in ink at all. In the original article (which can't be found) the citation was something like "its written in ink, but anything can happen", which of course is an idiotic (contradictive) statement and a total red flag right there
To me it sounds like he was ticking off a box (investor or whatever demanding it) by saying that, but at the same time rendering the statement useless to protect himself/Bethesda.
