Quick update. Our daughter is undergoing her heart surgery as I write this. It’s been a roller coaster of anxiety due to the whole family getting the summer cold/flu at the same time she was originally scheduled to have the surgery done. Updates so far is that she is doing well while sedated and the procedure is going well so far. She has another hour or so left of the ~4 hour procedure. We’ll be able to see her in a couple of hours from now.

Update: surgery went well. She initially had some fever and low blood pressure but these effects are common during this type of procedure and they continued to monitor her as such. It’s now been a couple of days and they have been removing the various tubes she had in her here and there. She still has more milestones to achieve but considering all of the problems she’s had since birth, she is actually kicking ass. She’s definitely a fighter and her name is truly fitting for her.

Nah. Just a Chicco stroller. It can accept a car seat though which is pretty cool.

Just woke up from a nap after getting a fusion done on my T8-T9 area. Hurts a lot j right now even with pain meds but I will say the neural pain seems to be less compared to pre surgery. They told me I should be able to have a better feel for overall effect within 3 days. If this has the desired outcome I’m hoping it will, I will literally cry tears of joy. Pain sucks. Back pains sucks more. Persistent back pain sucks most.
My wife and a couple of kiddos were able to visit me already so that brightened my day too hehe. Looking forward to at least sleeping in my own bed again tho hah.
