lol.. no. it would have been modest if he got the $1 dollar, but even no money is a very nice win.. most predictions i saw were $1 dollar or $2m, not the bigger sums.

I doubt JD cares about the money.
He got vindicated in the public's and the law's eye.
Even if she goes for another trial/retrial w/e everyone saw what an ugly person she is on the inside.
She: Prolly wont get any high profile roles anymore(untalented/biggest feat is a side role in AQ bcuz of JD)
He: Vindcated will get more roles and live his life in peace.
Best news this year imo.

It's not just about getting money (though he might need some since he hasn't worked for a while + $650 million stolen), getting money is also an important statement in the verdict itself.

Imagine the bunch of imbeciles in the courthouse in the UK. I wonder if they feel stupid or raging at this verdict.

https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/amber-heard-trial-johnny-depp-verdict-abuse-b2092457.html
"Amber Heard didn’t ask for any of this" well, she actually did ask for it, she started it.. She even illegally filmed him having an outburst because she thought she could profit of it (him going crazy after realizing he was scammed off 650m, punching walls and whatever - she tried to make it look like it was his normal self). MSM is fucking despicable.

I think it's more than "first world problem" i hope its a message to women all over the world who wants to try the justice system and hope to get away with similar scams. The UK trial was a travesty, the court even acknowledged she LIED (in court!), but they still gave her a win. Mindboggling stuff when you research how that went down.

It is time to make a stunning and brave confession.
As a survivor of virtual rape I've concluded that now is finally time to come forward:
In 2003 I was sexually assaulted multiple times.
In this video game called "Battlefield 1942" multiple male players dipped their testicles in my face while I was unable to move.
This is an atrocious act euphemistically called "teabagging" and it is likely I wasn't the only victim-survivor. I hope that others will follow my lead and come forward as well.
Now where can I get my reparations?

I tend to agree with the article title. Or at least part of it:
"The Johnny Depp Amber Heard Verdict Doesn't Matter" (but not for the same reasons as the article).
Now that the popcorn part of the show is over, people will rabble rabble back and forth during the credits rolling so to speak. And then promptly forget and nothing will change as they find a new popcorn show to watch
Sure Amber will have harder time finding work, Depp gets a bit more work, but the whole thing about this being a diametric shift in hollywood, and the collective conscious about domestic violence and who can be victims, will slip off with the breeze and disappear.
The extremists that fight both sides of absurdity of it, will continue to. Us that never did, will continue not to.
This will end up same as Epstein, Cosby, Weinstein, Spacey, Rihanna, Snowden or any other "Man this will change things about X subject forever" that didn't change anything beyond being an isolated memory and impact that ONE person (not the problem as a whole) after the drama that drew us in to care, passes and we dont care anymore
In a month no one will care or still talking about it, and have to be reminded this happened going "Yea that was a thing a month ago..I haven't kept up with it since the verdict.", as all of us collectively walk away from seeing if any meaningful changes actually happen after the 'party' is over.

@DXWarlock The importance isn’t the trial itself, or Depp’s outcome. It is a litmus test for how media and public opinion goes, given the evidence presented. I’d say I’m surprised, there has been very little celebrity support for Heard, for example, whereas a few years ago you’d have wall to wall support and denouncing of the verdict. Instead, you have media armchair feminist activists writing retarded articles that completely miss the public sentiment, and they really can’t figure why, so they immediately go to the stereotypical “because he’s a powerful man”. The public sentiment is important also.

True, but people will still bully for what they want to stand for. And consider anything outside of their concluded outlook of it as random outlier noise in an otherwise 'finalized' outlook.
Even after the verdict, those that was fringe extremist (on all sides: Believe all women or all women are manipulators) are still standing by their statement. Be it that this was a farce and an outlier of hypocrisy and the status quo of believe all women still stands, or doing victory laps that their opposite, but just as absolute stance was always true and this proves it.
So the next trail will be a seperate litmus test, and that's the issue. The sides are not working in the same scope: If it's a win, its touted as a win for the whole sentiment. If its a loss, it's seen as just a singular loss in a larger war.
The next TMZ celebrity gossip relationship gone to trial will have the same number of supporters on each side, depending on its own isolated situation of the drama and which side people want to root for without any overlap of this one taken into consideration.
The winners will claim a victory bigger than it is, the losers claiming a defeat smaller that it is.
I mean its already the general narrative that Amber(singular) is a bitch. So its not really related or detrimental to the "ultra feminism now"/"toxic relationship of women can be shit too". It's turning to "Amber is a high profile, bigger than life celebrity extreme example outside the norm". So its not calculated into what the 'norm' problem is to start with.
Like again with Epstein or Snowden. Big huge deals, lots of shocked faces, finger waggling, etc. But it didn't directly affect their daily lives (well with snowden, didn't affect it enough to change anything..just brow furrow and keep using facebook/social media/'install all the apps' phone usage) and it's back to shock and awe next time it happens because nothing was done, and we kinda put it in the back of our minds again once the cat toy of curiosity about it got dull to watch.
Until something directly affects them, the drama they enjoy does not move the needle much on the actual problem next time it happens.
It might move the needle, but its a division of a gradient marker on that needle at best I feel. Not a noticeable swing.
If the movement runs out of gas, its barely because of some singular event causing it. It's more this put a thimble of water into its gas tank and people will claim the water played a large part into why it stopped moving when it ran its own tank dry down the line.
I still think Ghislaine Maxwell is the perfect analogy. Most people dont even know what happened to her, if the trial is over, if she is free, if we even know the names of who was on her list of clients, or the status of any of the ring she was part of because the juicy fat of the story ran out. So they just kinda..moved on. And it put a thimble of water into the gas tank of sex trafficking.

if it only affects a handful of women who's been thinking in the same way as Amber and then decide it's not worth it, too risky, it's a win.. i think it will affect more than that but who knows, it's not like it'll show in any statistics or anything.
