RMAH was a a feature that was relatively easy to correct. This game is hopeless. You can assume everything that is free is reduced and imbalanced in order for you to pay. They'd have to redo everything.

As for someone who never played any Diablo games and not a huge fan of isometric ARPGs this one is not a bad game for... mobiles.
It has story mode, voiced characters and no ridiculous wait times in order to progress.

but hey, it lets u spend 100.000 usd, yes EUR/USD; not gold ... to upgrade a single gem ... all is good in gaming , nobody gives a fuck even anymore, except belgium n netherlands, everyone else just mindblowingly stupid for allowing this vile shit , thats 100.000k not going back into ur local economy
the real money auction house is a joke compared to this, that one had a cap of 250 eur per item .... gaming is dead , all in the hands of the indies now

Indeed, the story fills the game between end of Diablo 2 and beginning of Diablo 3.
I admit, I shelled 5 bucks for the gamepass, but the rewards don't seem uber grade. The free tier of gamepass has all the stuff anyway. You just have to grind out the daily tasks.
I'll probably finish the story and uninstall it.

Na this game is 100% for the casual crowd and the Asian market it's business model is pretty much the norm in china and a carbon copy of Netease's other games.
I mean i do get the outrage because it's Diablo this time around but then again it's still a mobile f2p title so this outcome was absolutely to be expected.
People should not forget that every major publisher has predatory f2p mobile games like this running atm it's not just Blizz. But if this outrage helps to get this shit practice into the spot light so be it.

I guess don't expect more from Blizzard. They've been making games for casual gamers for a long time now. I'm in no way surprised this mobile game is just like a mobile game..
Blizzard fans like to be outraged but at t the same time they still buy, play and spend money on whatever it is they are complaining about.

Only thing where this affects is the end game if you want to be in top 10 leaderboards, you can do every content without spending a shit on anything, you just won't get to rift lvl 1000.

This... game is a tool to extract as much as possible money from whales, mobile addicts and easy to prey on gaemers.
Blizzard just wants a piece of the pie from the mobile industry. The people that play these games have lower expectations and often lower standards when it comes to videogames. Nowadays not everyone affords a damn computer and it's soE much more easier, cheaper and comfortable to pLaY gaeMs on mObiLes...

The 'bad' / disappointing part aside, the good part is that I don't believe Diablo 4 will follow in this one's footsteps.
