Ya that caught me off guard, I had just asked him for a reference to a medical malpractice lawyer and told him what was going on and all a sudden this.

Ma man you'll beat this shit and get back to your life. I feel for you going through this chemo shit tho because I was JUST done driving mom from her radiation therapy every single day to another city and back for a month straight, and surgery prior to it.
I've seen a lot of what people go through to beat this from chemo to blood transfusions to all kinds of radiation blasts. But the good news is most people beat it so just follow through and it will pass as another chapter then back to your regular life.
My best wishes to you

I've had stomach/gut issues sometimes and doctors would only give me pain medication. Today I went to a specialist to get an appointment for an endo- and colonoscopy. Reading this thread triggered the need to get checked up as I'm only a few years older than you...

Do you have problems with acid reflux or heartburn ? Sometimes small / large quantities of stomach acid can end up in esophagus or small intestines and cause bunch of problems. Most of my life and today I had problems with acid reflux (GERD). Done 3-4 stomach endoscopy procedures and one colonoscopy (due to blood on the stool) procedure so far in the past 10 years. My upper stomach sphincter doesn't close entirely due to hernia in that region so acid escapes and ends up in the esophagus. It burns like hell ! In my case it's a chronic disorder (interesting it flares up mostly in Autumn and Winter) and makes my life miserable. Anyways, you made a good decision to check your tubing. Tell us the results. |
That sounds more reasonable than what any doctor had to offer til now I'll get an endo- and colonoscopy at the end of august.

And the punches sent stop rolling in. Sitting ins hospital bed right now so that's fucking cool.
Was getting really bloated and backed up to the point the only gas that would pass was from burping. Didn't shit for like 4 days despite taking miralax. Aaron's 330 am I had to drive myself to the ER cause the pain was so bad. They got me into surgery right away
From what it sounds like, my tumor perforated and then the appendix somehow got involved and basically sealed my colon. So they had to open me up, disconnect my colon until I'm done with chemo, removed the tumor and removed my appendix. So basically had like 3 days worth of food trying to get out but couldn't. The pain was fucking intense, got to the ER and collapsed on their floor lol
It's really weird passing gas out the side of my stomach.
Fuck my life
Also I'm glad you guys are getting checked. One if the nurses said they're actually changing the age of Colonoscopies to 30s instead of 50s

Well the plus side to it is they had to CT scan me again so they compared my charts to the one before chemo and they're was a noticeable difference in the cancer cells shrinking in just 2 visits. Though those are postponed until I heal from this bullshit

From the cases I talked with during my experience sometimes Drs refuse to do a removal surgery for a multitude of valid reasons. Sometimes they want to see if they can shrink and kill the cancer cells without resorting to that with chemo/radiation depending on severity. Sometimes it's just not viable. Sometimes they do surgery first and kill the cancer cells around the area.
Cancer RNG is endless every case is unique and I'm still not a Doctor so that's just my 2cents.
