I know, I know... already regretted it since he gives an argument here that goes directly against something he said on another video a few months back and that one really pissed me off back then

Guess this is the best thread for this:
Fellow GIGANTE x570 bros, what are your chipset temps? With the current heat wave over here, mine have been close to 70ºC, according to HWinfo.
The thing is, I'm not sure it's a reading error? With such high temps I think there would be a difference in temps with the case's side cover on/off and yet that doesn't happen?
Friend has an MSI x570 MOBO, 5900x as well and gets around 51ºC (although his cpu runs cooler due to watercooling, not sure if it has an impact on chipset temp but I guess not).
I really don't want to have to pop out the mb cooler and repaste it, mobo is only >1yo.

Dunno, first time I remember having the mobo/chipset temperature so high. CPU itself hit º80ºc, but that's normal.
Maybe it's a Ryzen/AMD thing?

I'm not too worried, but it's an odd diference IMO. Chipset is the old northbridge equiivalent on a mobo, no?

On my X570 taichi chipset temps never exceed over 55c and the fan is set to 20%, can't even hear it over my silent watercooling setup. Air cooled setup will dump all the heat straight to the chipset fan, so that is why It can be pretty high, tho those temps are nothing to worry about what you guys have been posting.
