CP2k77 is not garbage per se.
The gameplay is 5/10 at best.
The world is 5/10.
The aesthetic feel is 8/10.
Story and characters 7.5/10
Graphics are nice, but can't hold a 60 FPS with a 3080 Ti - so it is a joke.
Overall ... very average, sadly.
Imho first person combat has a very high bar with things like Doom. In comparison this is just janky as fuck.

game didn't deliver the hype. we all knew this would be a case I since they switched genres. no no no they good at world building. cyberpunk world is nice. gameplay is ok. they can improve if they learned things. if they haven't, then don't expect shit.
only way is up with a studio willing to learn and improve.
witcher 1 gameplay was ok, but story and world building was nice. they improved over the years. like keep your expectations low with this, support with your wallet. like y'all forget cdpr shitty gameplay designs early in the witches franchise and how they improved game over game.
you also seem very upset at a video gaem.  like... if you wasted hours on a game you hated from the very beginning and are mad at the studio for your own poor life choices, maybe re-evaluate your hobby?

It's just a fuck-up that can and WILL happen to any one entity. Since they did so well it the past, it means they can / could do it again, despite mistakes and fails.
I recommend reconsidering this... acting like a fucking corporate manager that will judge and execute one not based on previous numerous achievements but only on the latest, monumental, never before done task, that you somehow, humanely, managed to fail... |

I personally didn't mind in their case. I 'allowed' them to fuck up (this time), both in terms of product and communication: 3 excellent games and 1 fuck-up is just fine in MY book.
Why?
Because Witcher 1, 2, 3 are some of my fav. games. Witcher 1 especially.

You don't mind it because you are subjective as fuck. In any other case, you'll cry about it, but now, no, no, no... And this is not even their first fuck up. The Witcher 3 marketing was riddled with false advertisement when it came to the PC product (not to mention all those bugs). There was also that stunt with GOG like a decade ago. But sure, we'll let these slide because we like X game, Y developer or Z publisher.
