I'm waiting for this game like amny others but i'm not pumped up about it. I hope it will live up to it's expectations which i think it will, but i'm not creaming my pants for it.
If people like it or not i wouldnt care less, all i'm interested in is if i like the game myself.
It's pretty hyped up, but i'm not affected by it by any means.

http://www.archlordgame.com/ this game looks good and is a mmorpg...out later this year. suppose it similar to this, but with more manageable gfx because it a mmorpg. To get a game like Oblivion for MP would take lots of power or a cut down in gfx for it to handle i think Intel Core2 Quad Q8300 Asus P5N-E SLI Asus ENGTX 480 4GB 6400

Nah, not plain multiplayer. Upcoming PC games 2009 and onwards Bravery is not a function of firepower.

Its not going to be mp i think, in the last game they said they had to change so much if they would make MP later in a patch or something... So would think there would be more talking about MP.. But.. can someone confirm that there aint gonna be any MP?

There is gonna be no MP, it is practically near impossible on a clockwork engine like that.

mp wouldve been too hard to do but i think 2 player co-op wouldve been easier to implement and that wouldve been amazing. lol sneaking up on people together. lol i loved in morrowing the quests where you have to accompany someone and then you just killed them after leaving town. now that with co-op wouldve rocked.

Doing coop in a game like this is impossible. Think, if one goes east, and the other goes west...it could create some problems. Unlike, Baldur's Gate where you can see the bounds of the level here everything is open.

yeah itd be hard but surely if they are saying the NPCs can quest and do all the shit you would do then why would another human be impossible to implement? sure you could ruin it for each other but you could do that in many co-op games. ok im dreaming a bit but I still reckon it isnt impossible to do. Yar, everyone who played it said it was extremely buggy.
Maybe this engine is more optimized (not like MW) and talented modders could add it.

Even if there was such a tool, how would it help? If it runs like shit with that tool it just means it will run like shit in the game, and now you know it. It wont help you in any way. Or maybe you would upgrade your computer just because of this one game? (I know I did ) Jesus its not rocket science. You know what a good computer is and what a bad one is. Whats above avarge and what isnt. Take an educated guess. Did FEAR and Q4 run great with max settings, fsaa, aniso and everything? Then oblivion will probably run fine with most bells and whistles, but maybe not all. But then again, what people thinks runs fine and not is very subjective.

Elder Scrolls is ALL about singelplayer. Thats the whole point I think, though coop might have been cool. There is enough mmorpgs out there if people dont like sp games. Just think, how many singeplayer fantasy games are there compared to fantasy mmorpgs? At least let a few be singeplay only. I mean at least NPC's talk to you with words and whole sentences, not single letters and numbers like every other mmorpg player "l0l r0rld122 r u n00b? l33tz 0wn!, h34l plz" Hell this time they will even speak to me. No more reading endless pages of text like in morrowind
