There's nothing that suggests otherwise either, and it's what it looks like. This is a visual medium, and its how it should be treated by the creators. "maybe you just have to imagine what happened!" doesn't cut it. It can be used sometimes because it can serve a purpose to be vague about something, but not here.
It's sloppy execution which easily could have been better to immersive the viewer better.
I like the show and i'm not trying hard at all, i just don't care for shilling for anything, games, series, even if it's overall good. Constructive criticism is like always what makes things better, if people stop criticizing then things will get worse because they will get away with more and more, a new norm will be created. We can see that already with teleportation.
And again, very good episode, so its you who's trying hard to make it look like i hate it, which i absolutely didn't. It's one small annoyance, that's all.
I wasn't too keen on getting involved again with the Game of Thrones universe since all the pestiferous effects of its abusive relationship are still there (and will never ever go away ), but like a wimpy betrayed bastard, I couldn't resist and out of pure curiosity I watched the show as well. It was a rollercoaster but all in all, it surpassed my low expectations and the finale was a competent one.
The highest points were the acting and the characters themselves (with Paddy being the absolute standout), along with the actual atmosphere, music, and production values as per HBO tradition. Although the time jumps felt abrupt and there were questionable scenes/choices scattered throughout the season - including the silly E03 that nearly made me quit, the writing did its job fairly well. Nowhere near the excellent quality of GoT's S01-04, still, when we take into account recent extra-flaccid productions such as The Wheel of Cheese and The Lady of the Rings, then one can tell that at least there was an effort here to create something that has a reason to exist. I'm on board with the next season(s), may the old gods be merciful and protect us from any forthcoming pears.
In the House of the Dragon finale, we see the pieces of Arrax descend into the clouds and then Daemon entering the war room to tell Rhaenyra about Lucerys’ death – but how did anyone even find out in the first place?
Whilst not shown in the TV adaptation, George RR Martin’s Fire & Blood reveals what happened in the days between Arrax’s death and Rhaenyra finding out about the murder.
Per Fire & Blood, “Arrax fell, broken, to be swallowed by the storm-lashed waters of the bay,” after which, “His head and neck washed up beneath the cliffs below Storm’s End three days later, to make a feast for crabs and seagulls.”
So, whilst not shown directly in the House of the Dragon finale, Daemon (and subsequently Rhaenyra) found out about Lucery’s death at the hands [teeth] of Vhagar after Arrax’s mangled corpse washed up in Storm’s End three days later.

Unfortunately, the original books are definitive about the young Prince’s fate, “Lucerys Velaryon died with his dragon, Munkun insists. This is undoubtedly correct. The prince was thirteen years of age.

Yeah, well: just as vurt also suggested above, an extra 10 seconds of screen time would have been sufficient to make things look less arbitrary and way more logical and cohesive. Does no-one on the production crew review the episodes prior to airing...?!
Either that, or just skip the last scene and end with the camera on the blonde one-eyed guy's face as he realizes he's fucked up big time (I can't fucking remember their names, they all sound the same, lol).

Dragged a while on some of the middle eps (4 and 5) but otherwise it got the job done. Seeing the GoT music on the intro (unless it was somehow grafted on the ruskie release I DL'ed ) was a bit jarring. Great work from paddy men like everyone else already said, but once again they cut costs by having an actor NEVER fucking changing, not even some make-up that I could notice with daemon and the "queen that never was". And that was, instead, correctly applied to Paddy.
Pretty raycis if you ask me, like the producers looked at corlys and thought "white won't crack either, we'll just go with smith and best all the time too, ROLL CAMERA!"

GRRM might be a very slow writer (I'm not affected, so I don't care), but no-one can argue his vast knowledge and intelligence.
Not a single "err", "you know" or "like" in any of his interviews, and whatever he says or explains is just crystal clear. Such a rarity in this day and age.
Finished this opening season of HotD. Solid show in general, though it got very monotonous towards the middle episodes, then it kept improving until the end. Certainly much better than the last 3 seasons of GoT but not nearly as good as the first 3-4.
Acting was competent, nothing impressive, except for Paddy Considine whose performance stood out among the rest.
The dragon sequences, though not generally my main interest, seemed really well done. But I hope for more interesting politics (and less soap-opera'ish melodrama) for the next season(s).
Such a fail with all the downtime between the two seasons. I could not for the life of me recall the name of a single character from this show, let alone what they were doing.
2 years? no different from many or most other shows. it's not like i expect One Piece Season 2 until next year, didn't google yet, but i'm sure if i do it will say 2025, came out 2023 so i absolutely don't expect it this year.
I rarely remember characters but for me this show was different, i very much remember most of them, not that i think it will matter a ton for next season.
