Man. That game WAS dragging. Holy shit. When I thought it would be over it would just hit you with more missions.

But was still pretty cool.

the video is kinda spot on, there is no plot, some missions just repeat themselves and some are different, but theres something about the game that is cool that didnt made me abandon it. there are some great things in this game mixed with meh ones. at least horizon has an interesting plot with mistery so it didnt feel like it was dragging.

i would say the whole mission system ui is so fucked and confusing at first, each time you complete a mission it shows different percentages of sometimes multiple plot lines.

UE4 tweaks performance visuals and stutter fix

HOW TO INSTALL IT CORRECTLY:

1: Unzip the file
2: Copy the contents into AppData\Local\BendGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor over-riding all folders (PLEASE MAKE SURE for the love of God save your folders in case you need to revert at some stage)
3: All files except for the GameUserSettings.ini MUST be kept 'READ ONLY"
4: GameUserSettings.ini is where you adjust your resolution, language, sound etc etc ....so do it within the game or alter it directly.
5: THAT IS IT.

and finished, felt a bit long. 7/10 maybe, world was great, main character ok, maybe talks a little too much, the rest could have done more. hordes are really cool but easy to defeat once you get a hang of it, they could have done so much more with this also.

For what it's worth, the game is in a decent state as far as console ports go. There was that initial annoying bug with the mouse not responding and the camera getting stuck but it was eventually fixed. Didn't encounter any paranormal glitches, the performance was solid as well for my rig from the Bronze Age (60fps at High/1080p with dips in the 50s near the hordes/crowded areas), 'twas a relatively painless Yarr.

^ decent is not the proper word, my friend.

More like excellent (compared to other maStErpiEces... HZD for example). Small hiccups were fixed rapidly here.

Game runs absolutely fantastic, looks gorgeous, has an FOV slider and makes pizza once a day.

What more can you ask?!

Well, it was MAJOR enough here. Took me 38 minutes to install the xdelta patch. Laughing

While playing other games and running my son's Minecraft server (8GB allocated) on the same machine. BANG! BANG!

what xdelta patch? they only updated the exe.

game runs excelent and i found no bugs, quite the opposite when you hear how badly it ran on ps4 with so many bugs and at 30fps Laughing horizon ran horrible at launch and only got fixed with the special k mod, dont know if they completly fixed it now but i saw it received many updates

Cause it didnt sell enough on Playstation, Sony might change their mind down the line if the PC Sales where good enough.

I'm also about 8h in. The game feels ok but apart from the story (so far) it seems to be just generic sandbox GTA copy-pasta part 'whatever'.

It was a perfectly fine game. Played after a bunch of patches though. There was one thing that irked me. On the radio MC and his friend were sappy friends, when they met up they were hard and not very friendly. Wonder what happened during production

I would love to see a sequel. For me - one of the best games I've played lately. Finally good, fun, and smooth zombie game without unnecessary survival elements and other tedious stuff.

Laughing Laughing Laughing yeah, even the game director aknowledged in an interview with Jaffey that when he played the game for the first time, during dev, the beggining dragged so long that he felt it ended up double the lenght they wanted. The actual game dir thought it's shit. At least the first part of the game. Then the driving for eons to get anywhere. The bike refueling. The collecting crap for crafting anywhere you are.

They also copy pasted ad literam the tail missions from Assassin's Creed 1, from 15 years ago, that every living sould hated. I don't mean they were inspired by it, they lifted that 1:1 from old AC. You stay in the bush, in a circle near the enemies and you wait for the Listening bar to fill up. And you do those missions the entirety of the game. The grades the game originally got were given with extreme generosity. It's a 3/10 if i'd review it

Yeah, well, I guess we are all different and got different tastes Very Happy
I love driving around Very Happy And after upgradeing bike with bigger gas tanks well... I loved it.
Collecting crap, yeah it was issue from time to time, but not game breaking for me.
And about tedious stuff - no eating or drinking every 2min and running around hopeing for scrap of food, there is no such crap in DG.
And while I can't stand AC series after BC (it was amazing), I loved this one.
They did copy of some mechanics? Well, at least I didn't have to climb towers and leap down...

It's a good game, men.

It starts slow and it's not for everyone, but it deserves a sequel.
