Yeah. DS has ruined ES forever.
The next ES better has some interesting mechanics.
The next ES better not be crashing or bugging out all the time, "support" mods with their own mod-api/tool that makes the game so much more unstable, buggy and crashy.
It's not the human beings themselves. It's their desperation, insane hunger for $$$ and their lack of decency, originality and creative spirit in their content.
It's like... they aren't humans anymore, but mindless / brainwashed clones / cogs in a big $$$ machine, repeating the same type of content and practices over and over and over...
i find it amazing that so many still play this game, my overhaul mod has around 23K unique downloads each month, and i don't even have the best tree/grass mod out there any longer i think, it's pretty outdated.
I never cared for playing it, don't really like the setting + story involved me even less than Oblivion.
then now think how much money bethesda has left on the table not making elder scrolls 6 already and instead trying some scifi shit they could have been lazy as fuck and made it like gta online and made billions
ELEVEN FUCKING YEARS ITS BEEN 11.11.11 , millions have died not getting to play eso 6 ...
yeah 3 franchises is too much for them i think. they have Fallout too. It's a relatively small team for such huge games. Only 100 people worked on Skyrim and then on FO4, for something like Assassins Creed Origins they had 1000 people.
Haven't played Skyrim since it 2012 and it was only base game without expansions.
If I would like to replay it again, which is the best version to play and mod? LE? SE? Anniversary? I wouldn't go crazy with mods, only need essentials, unofficial patch, HD textures and expansion size quests.

So you're a man of culture as-well...
Look... I never could get into this game. Something was always... missing / lacking. It felt somehow... artificial, soulless, formulaic, streamlined, simple, unremarkable, predictable, wide as an ocean - deep as a puddle, ugly, dumbed-down, boring.
... the Bioshock games. The Morrowind review made me want to play Morrowind, the Oblivion review made me want to play Oblivion, but this, so far, is only making me want to play Bioshock games. And Enderal too, I guess.

Errr... too much?
I would strongly recommend giving Enderal SE a try if you haven't already. Although it shares some of Skyrim's sins and the combat system is essentially the same (though with a better difficulty curve/no scaling and much-improved magic ), everything else comes from an alternate modern Bryouniverse where the writing and lore are compelling, the RPG elements are more meaningful and the locations and encounters are finely crafted with an organic sense of space.
It's narrative-driven, yet open with some aspects borrowed from Gothic as well, a genuinely impressive work from the modding team and overall far more interesting than Bethesda's last two TES games in my opinion.

Many times! Using it for Serenity 2 right now
Nice, that will be one of the very first things I'll install when I'll upgrade. The good old Requiem was an absolute must for me, and the only way I could stomach vanilla Skyrim till the end
yeah been wanting to try Enderal SE but there's always something else in the now immense backlog my flora is in that TC so could be interesting to see how that is implemented too.

FWIW it's even better with Immersive Patrols SE (lite version, full will crash), silent combat music and darker nights installed
I don't know why any mod pack would omit immersive patrols. It's lore friendly and the world is very dead without it
