Hopefully it's not another ultimate upgrade that sacrifices something for something else. Like sleeping dogs, Metro remasters, crysis and likely other remasters i can't think of. No fucking clue what developers are even thinking these days.
I have a feeling it's mostly going to benefit console players who will now be able to play it as we could 7 years ago (high res, high FPS)
There's dozens of things I can think of that could be improved, like basic movement & controls, UI etc. But I reckon shiny shit on current gen potatoes will be the focus. Though I do hope I am very, very wrong! Either way, another replay will be in order

Hopefully they fix the fucking horse, god damn Roach is one dumb fucking animal.
Like i said though, "sacrificing something for something else" Not saying everything is bad. But i don't see why light, shadows, fog effects and texture resolution should be fucked up in a remaster made for a more powerful... console..
I found the trailer to be pretty bad. The voice acting doesn't match the action on the screen and all I get from this is a list of features that I haven't seen old vs new in the trailer. Wtf is this?!
4x textures (maybe from mods), ray tracing and game is now fully voiced in Chinese
CDPR got in touch with HalkHogan (the guy who made the HDRP mod) and a few others and got permission to use their mods for the update. I hope that at least the modders got compensated for their work.
I can indeed recognize the ol' HD Reworked Project and Immersive Cam, which I already used back then (in addition to the mandatory Friendly HUD, and several others). The RTGI mode doesn't look particularly complex/impressive, which is often the case when the engine isn't designed for it. Still nice to have, unless it's a lousy implementation.

HD doesn't necessarily means 'realistic'. Yea, there are 'resolution'/texture improvements, but for me... in some cases, they simply look... even MORE artificial than the vanilla ones.
Yeah, the Witcher 3's landscape / world / textures were almost NEVER realistic / photo-realistic. Perhaps that wasn't even intended.
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
