Anyone playing the early release? I hear there's quite a lot of issues. Probably better to wait for the first sale, the game might get more or less patched by that time.
i think when i watched the trailer i seen all the cool bits and now the people who buy it are seeying those same cool bits repeated over and over and over zzzz
how many times can a doom player still endure the frigging long ass SAME chainsaw animation zzzz
DLSS crashes the game. The servers are not holding all that well. The performance is questionable, still. Some bugs here and there.
Sounds like the beta a couple weeks ago, why am i not surprised?
because it sounds like every Fatshark release? lol. No different than Vermintide 1 and 2 with the awful release. Eventually after release when they get the full release out in people's hands it starts improving.
Got 3 out of the 4 classes to 30. Can't be assed to do it with the Ogryn - as much as he's great to have on the "carry items to the objective" missions, his fat-ass blocking friendly bullets and obstructing the view seems more like a liability than a help.
Out of the 3, I'd say the Zealot is the most action packed, fun, and in your face (definitely the one you want to "learn" to play the game on when you're first starting out).
Sharpshooter is a special killing machine once you get the Bolter on him (although Zealot can use that gun too). Combine that with the level 20 optic camo perk that makes most enemies ignore you if you're standing still and it's super fun to just mow down the specials across the map.
Psyker is all show and no go IMO. The class is heavily micromanagement dependent (with focus being on keeping up those brain burst buff stacks). The thing is, everything he can do one of the other classes can do better: Sharpshooter can kill the specials faster, more efficiently, and is a lot easier to keep alive. Zealot can equip a flamethrower and do area denial/DPS better than the poor psyker. Not sure what his role really is.
Not much to do once you hit 30 aside from grinding for materials for the crafting (even then, 3 out of the 4 crafting options are still locked in the pre-order beta).
Fun game, got about 100 hours into it, but the excitement has definitely waned.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

That is not true. However, the lack of class specializations does suck.
It IS true. I checked the game for myself last night, played for 6 hours. Only one server issue during that time, and no crashes, which is good. However, the game is only half-ready. Merely a handful of maps are available, and the crafting system is so barebones atm, it's pathetic. And only 4 base classes... Oh, and the gfx options are quite lacking, too.
Lots of work to be done still, and the game launches tomorrow.
