Reporting where public information of a registered plane is isnt doxxing. You yourself can find it on FAA website as public (HAS to be public) information. Musk didn't register the plane under his name its company property. And corporate planes cannot file for BARR list status.
Musk has the ability to not make his plane travel public, but he doesn't for tax reasons. Fault is on him, not the guy that simply looked up public records.
If that guy doxxed him, then the FAA is too.
So legal case speaking here: It's like saying you work for SouthWest Airlines as a pilot and they 'found' the flight number of a plane you flew. (An employee of a company being filed on flight records for a corporate airliner)
Or if you mean the one about his children, that was not the same situation. And yes those people should stay banned.
But his poll relates (or spurred by) the reporting of company planes and the account that did it.

Not sure what him stepping down would do, other than placate the rabble rabble, and give him an out if twitter doesn't turn magically to gold after he touched it: Not my fault I left.
Since he will still be majority owner, he doesn't need be chief executive to make the company do his whims.
If I bought the gas station down the road, made myself head manager and employees disliked my decisions of what I want the store to do. Me saying "OK OK I will step down as store manager" doesnt mean anything. I still OWN it. I just hire a manager, tell them what I want and blame them when decisions the employees dont like happen.
Unless I'm missing something obvious on how this will change anything, he is just removing a public title without losing any power.

Guy is going to make so much money with Starlink, makes me wonder if it wasn't the motivation for SpaceX entirely from the get-go.
He's able to compete with Telco's globally and not roll out or maintain copper/fibre anywhere, genius shit. That and its regional area's where you can charge through the roof because where else are you going to go.
