Oh, didn't take long too Laughing

Quote:
The police had to intervene in Brussels after the defeat of the Moroccan national team in the semi-finals of the Qatar World Cup.
Supporters took to the streets, leading to clashes with police. Supporters threw firecrackers and smoke bombs at the police and set fire to cardboard boxes and a scooter on the Boulevard Lemonnier, in the heart of Brussels.

When you hate who you are because your own set of values targets itself, what do you think might happen?

Good luck with your Islamic ways. Keep at it.

I never met/talked to/seen people so eager to dig their own graves.
Pretty amazing, their own delusion of grandeur forbids them to realize how bankrupt their are on all levels.

Keep digging, see what you'll find.

Do you want them to be integrated?

"I won't even call it "integration". They will never even attempt it. Even if they tried to express it, they couldn't.
It's possible within Europeans. There's a silver lining.
Movements in Europe were East-West. Religion, and this and that (nicely brushed aside Laughing )

They will be bad French citizens, they will never be.

-So, are you discouraging integration?

-I'll discourage you to do that with my people. They will never be French, that, I can assure you

From their former king. Good luck with that Laughing

This is a more complex subject than prejudice confirming emotional release. I invite you to look at the immigrants in Canada and U.S and you'll see a major difference. Why?
Because Europe does not want doctors or engineers, it wants low iq farmhand, dishwashers and toilet scrubbers. Nor is it leaving much of a way for upward social mobility for these people with the typical European exclusive snobbery.
I swear, man. All I hear from Europe is complaints about getting exactly what they asked for so many times.
Don't breed, but don't want immigrants. Don't wanna do manual labor, but don't want immigrants. Don't want any educated immigrants, complain about uneducated behavior.
E.U from the outside is the world's welfare baby. America pays for its security, the third world pays for its resources and dirty work. You think this is a sustainable status quo? I'm hearing the echos of a "get fucked" on the horizon.

I reckon the EU has been welfar'ing others pretty damn generously (and America's been paying for its security ? You think the US are that generous to begin with ? Very Happy) rather than the other way around, but I like the alternative angle.

Oh yeah E.U is quite generous with its colonies by sending them scraps of what it takes. I'll make you a deal, get economic French monopolies out so other nations can invest here and create jobs without absurd french favoritism laws by its vassal "king", and I swear this whole immigration problem will be solved with people staying right where they are. There are so many crucial details that just conveniently never get brought up.

I'm merely observing other similar alliances are far less generous or high on principles than the EU. Wink

It's an interesting subject which deserves an extensive reply and for more research to be done on my behalf before I open my trap Very Happy, I'll get to it later tonight/in the weekend.
I completely agree that the other unpleasant side of things is scarcely spoken about, the political air of late is not favourable to it whatsoever on both sides of the spectrum. Generally speaking, moralism doesn't work in politics, it's scarcely a matter of being deserving/giving back/doing the right thing and whatnot for every party involved, "good" and "bad" guys alike.

But we'll have to agree on what we're speaking about before we can talk : the EU, or France ? Morocco, the Maghreb region, or all former colonies from what remains a small handful of EU members countries, etc. Razz Otherwise it's going to be a reaaaaally lengthy post Very Happy

I agree that morals are not high on the list in the game of empires, nor that it would score higher moral points would the roles be reversed. But by far, the idea that the unprecedented high standards of living in Europe is payed by the tax payer not the iron grip keeping other nations down is a grand delusion. Nazis and Jihadis are gay lovers that deserve each other, and both a product of the same hand.

You might, but not from me.
I can, despite my tone, reason, and recognize any valuable argument that is made, and you made good ones, like the echo of economical reasons.
No contest there from me.

But the sword cuts on both edges.

So you're gonna sign up for something, ready to hurl yourself into the big unknown, without reading the fine prints? Sorry, but that's on the proverbial "you".
You should know what to expect, so if you still go forward with it, don't complain afterwards.

For the French neo-colonialist part, it's a given. Who rises up localy in any way, shape or form? No one.
Speaking of France, their populace, for better or worse, took it upon themselves to shorten a few people in order to have another type take over.

They weren't endless beggars, with their hands reaching out, asking anyone else but themselves for salvation.
They took action, by and for themselves, with their own interests in mind, no matter the cost.

Realpolitik. Moralism died a long time ago.

While it's indeed more complex than a few "easy" statements, I'll never respect someone who doesn't try and help himself first. Transfering your frustration and anxiaty on someone/something else is as cheap as it is counterproductive.

At the end of the day, most people won't be writing on a forum where there's a modicum of respect. They'll act on what you all dread: emotions.

And History proved one thing: when that happens, shit turns real ugly, real fast.

Reakpolitik was what I was talking about. The solution that would make you happy, and make them happy (and away from you) will not make your leadership happy. So assign blame where it will make the most positive change. Should every people decide to "help themselves" the same way we'll relive our grandparents' saga again, which honestly is seeming more and more unavoidable given the increasingly out of touch nature of those in positions of power.

FYI Euro Moroccans are their own breed, and are generally disliked even here in their country of "origin", common description is obnoxious retards and prone to being bullies if not met with a firm hand (my very own hands at times), and are a nightmare to deal with every summer, so you are free to keep them. Again, E.U got what it wanted. No refunds.

That's quite accurate, and echoes what I've heard too.
Only 'mistake' is the "The solution that would make you happy, and make them happy (and away from you)" part.

Despite what you might think, I'm no racist. At all. I'm always upset at people thinking they're somehow special, and deserve a preferential treatement because... Because?

I'm not about shunning people, but finding solutions. But first, you'll need a dialogue, and for that, the other also needs to be able to make concessions, and in this case, it doesn't seem to be even a remote possibility.

PS: Thank you for your (valued) point of view, and for taking the time! Smile
