Thats lame. PC Gamer used to be one of my favourite magazines, but it's been going downhill ever since they reviewed Deus Ex 2.

they describe about 3-4 quests in detail, more like the overall experience rather than the specifics of how to accomplish something. I thought it was a nice touch to describe some of what they did during the game so readers can get a feel for how it works and plays when they are reading the review

I read on the official forums that when you gain vampirism you actually have to drink blood each day or suffer the consequences like turning into a horribly disfigured monster with claws. horned hands and glowing red eyes. who ignites if exposed to sunlight, way to go on bringing some bloodlines into the game bethesda .
small spoiler: theres a quest in skingrad to become affliated with a certain vampire clan
oh... funny how you reply to someone and your reply just dissapears?

They only have a french and german version that are fully translated (voice and text) and they have a few other versions that are just translated text. Since voice acting takes up half the DVD they wont have a multil language version, unless its just text that is translated.

Well thats going to be my first edit then.
Orcs should definitely be the strongest of the races.

On one hand, standard mythos has always led us to believe that orcs are savage, stupid, bloodthirsty beasts. This is the popular view among pretty much any RPG I can think of (Everquest, World of Warcraft, Neverwinter Nights, Dungeon Siege etc. etc.)
But, take a moment to step back and remember you are dealing with the T.E.S. series here, which in my opinion has an extremely unique outlook/portrayal of the races featured.
Nord = Strong/Barbaric Human.
Redguard = Strong/Disciplined Human.
Breton = Intellectual Human.
Imperial = Elitist/Charismatic Human.
Wood Elf = Much less emphasis on natural unity than standard RPG stereotype.
High Elf = The most "unchanged" of all the races. Dead on with stereotype.
Dark Elf = Also follows its aggressive/evil stereotype very well.
Khajiit = Sneaky knieving (sp) kitty
Argonian = For the life of me..I can't remember what the fuck this race is. Someone help me.
Alas we come to Orc.
Here, it seems Bethesda has made use of their creative license to break convention a little bit.
I tend to think of Orcs in T.E.S. as a gruff yet displaced race, and not necessarily the bloodthirsty brutes that they have the tendency of being portrayed as. I see them as laborers and craftsman as well as the armor clad warriors they are in almost every other game. High End/Willpower shows that they are extremely resillient to not only the physical hardships as Nords are, but also magical damage as well. The ultimate tank if you will. Thus, they trade a bit of strength for a more defensive role. And a tank, remember, gets its name from Damage shrugged off, not damage dissed out.
Boy was I bored. By the time I finished this I forgot where the fuck I was going with it. Anyway, someone describe to me what an Argonian looks like, for try as I might, I can't fuckin remember.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

The Argonians were the guys that looked like lizards in Morrowind. They also were immune to poison.

I like to think of humans as a race which can adapt to fit any role but will never be the best at it. I think it's nice to have a race which are superior to humans with regards to a particular archetype, so orcs being the best warriors, high elves being the best mages, wood elves being the best archers, Khajiits being the best thieves etc.
We have preconceptions about the limits of human ability, so when we think of an extremely strong human, we think of the strongest men in the word type stuff, able to lift 200kg or whatever. But when I think of an extremely strong orc, I think of something being able to bench press trucks. Elves with visual perception capable of picking out a persons face from miles away or intelligence beyond the greatest scientist. Nible cat people able to leap across rooftops. This is what fantasy is all about in my opinion, putting humans, who we are familiar with, in impossible situations with unfamiliar creatures.
I don't mind them having variations of humans in there, so humans predisposed towards violence or academia but the humans should be the basis of comparison for everthing in this new reality, and if the humans start becoming fantastical themselves,we have nothing to relate to.
The point i'm trying to make is; humans being the strongest race is no fun. Anyway, this is what the editor is for!

Goddamn you people.
In the span of one day I went from casually looking forward to this title to it being the obsession of my every waking moment.
I swore to myself I'd never enter such a state again (after going through the exact same thing in the upcoming days to Morrowind), and yet here I sit, a mere shell of a man, with my F5 key nearly broken.
I blame you. Each and every single one of you. Shame on you for bringing me to such a state!
Now, with that out of the way: I recall reading on the official forums it being confirmed that "rivers do not flow". However, there are I assume rivers/lakes/ponds/waterfalls present. Thus, how can a river not flow? Isn't what makes a river a river is the flow of water? Fuckin confused.
Any mention of whether or not deer/sheep corpses are lootable for perhaps skins/meats? Would be a nifty feature that should be modded in if not. Really lookin forward to those oh so hyped and beautiful forests I've seen so many screenshots of.

It means the rivers have no current, so you can swim across with no force pusing you downstream. Also there is no 'flow' animation, so the river will just have the standard static water effect.
