that bossfight looked sooo boring omg, sponge bosses, the sounds of the weapons n attacks so lackluster , the gfx so meh n to dark , no environment interactivity
it seriously looks n sounds like a mobile game, d3 had bosses that took half an hour cause of the amount of hp they had on inferno, krips fight took like an hour on hardcore , thats not fun, thats massive meh and d3 was horrible at launch, how did they not learn from that lol
Boss fight actually looks like Diablo2-ish when the meta hadn't been to static field everything to a sliver of hp. Boss fights were painful AF as a melee class if you didn't have a sorc buddy or a lot of crushing blow.
I'm honestly just happy the boss isn't constantly taunting you while you whoop its ass like in D3.

edit: more worrying is the seemingly empty game world.. and it's open world to boot so that means a ton more running around.
also its 2023 and yet still we cant have interactive environments where impacts make and keep craters, instead all we get is still projected decals that dissapear after mere seconds ... that we had already in the nineties, while we have 100x more ram and 1000x processing power

in all seriousness what you're describing would be cool but abused to hell in multiplayer.. people would create so many craters etc you wouldn't be able to see anything

Yeah, seeing that battle pass gave me a feeling of dread, like the empty feeling i got from the Diablo Immortal grind.
I mean, I get that you have to finance server and future development costs somehow when you are making a live service game that's supposed to run over several years, but to charge for the first 'premium battle pass' when players just paid full price for a game... ugh. And then the additional cost to skip some of the grind, that's just selling a solution to a problem they just invented.
it cheapens the game for sure, but i honestly don't give a shit about cosmetics, considering the standard skins etc are fantastically done unlike something like Path of Exile where you run around in rags unless you spend money on bullshit ass skins. Fact of the matter is these companies are not gonna keep these games online for years and years if there's no recurring revenue. I'm far more annoyed at the early access bullshit than skins tbh. Can't wait to read the rage posts from people who took a day off of work only to get Error 37'd for the first day
It means nothing and is the correct decision when 10000000x derp will definitely pay $20 to not wait an additional 4 days. They should have made it $40 and included a token cosmetic skin or pet bullshit.
Anyway this game is a pass here, the only thing I've seen that looks good are the pre-rendered cinematics, the team that creates that stuff always do quality work.
it just doesnt look n feel good, way to similar to d3 except the world boss fights, its like its a frigging skin/mod for d3 , not a single word they mention about game engine or technology, gosh im gonna laugh my ass of if it runs like shit and it uses the same tech like d2r is using and they projecting a skin on top of d3 engine

Sets as implemented in D3 definitely. Set items in D2 were fine, great for leveling new characters and making them OP to get to nightmare/hell. As long as they aren't the end all leveling gear for new characters

dude, 90% of low level d2 set items are complete trash and anyway you change your items every 5 minutes when playing the campaing on normal/nightmare, what are you talking about. every one uses some basic low requirement runewords with huge boosts for skills, no one bothers with set items for leveling
say goodbye to handcrafted cinematics boys, its over, they sacked those aswel, this was the ingame engine they used and it looked TOTAL GARBAGE PLASTIC TRASH
