Get 130 AI upscaled frames per second for only $1900. What a deal!
*AI upscaled and AI generated
tried it, and its another black magic tech
in DLSS 2.0 tradition, DLSS 3.0 does get better over time as well
Before the update with just DLSS 2.0 I ran at around 70 fps maxed out and input latency was about 50ms
now the game has reflex which brings it down to around 35ms, and DLSS3 brings it back up to 50ms, but 120fps
and you really can't tell, only the slight mouse smoothening effect, because 120fps isn't supposed to have 50ms input latency - it's a bit of a disconnected but the smooth framerate is well worth it
only bummer as per usual is that if you want the best DLSS experience for both 2.0 and 3.0 you gotta update the .dll's yourself cause CD Projekt added DLSS 3.0 in it's latest iteration but figured DLSS 2.3.4.0, which is now 9 months old, is good enough
When 2.5 is a massive graphical improvement for the balanced and performance mode
It is really tiresome switching those DLSS DLLs out (there are tools for it, but they suppose you hold a legit Steam/whatever library ), I wish it was managed at a driver level or at least through some official Nvidia tool - there are also games you have to trick in order to swap DLLs because of their anti-cheat like RDR2..
That, and some versions work well for some games, not for others, some are partial regressions and some not.. I just end up not using DLSS whenever I can
Overall not impressed at all by how NV deals with this tech at all

There is a Russian sci-fi book called Labyrinth of Reflections where people used a hypnotic program to make very basic graphics look like reality to a human brain. So you could draw a wall covered by red rectangles and your brain would make it seem like a highly realistic brick wall.
Will we get to a point where a transwoke writer will just describe a scene to ChatGPT which will convert it into really simple code and DLSS-like "AI" will just generate the graphics when you run it.
It is really tiresome switching those DLSS DLLs out
is it really that tiresome replacing a file every few months?
If I wrote it is tiresome to me, it is to me, duh For games like RDR2, it's not as simple as leaving it there, you have to replace it on every single game start during the game's boot-up sequence - a tool automates it but it can fuck up its timing.
It's made vastly more annoying because a set version might or might not work best on this or that game (in regards with shimmering, ghosting, sharpening, they're all affected differently on a per version basis), there's no definite version that's the best for all games (since DLSS implementation is also on a per-game basis) and it's incredibly.. tiresome. Just look at all the threads on Nvidia-related communities every time a new DLSS version pops out, they try it out on a myriad of games and can't seem to agree on what's the better version for one game, every single time.. I do think it's a bit complicated to navigate

a google search for the dlss version + x game is enough to find what version works best
like jeez what a hard life to be a gamer
and u dont play the same game over 1 years, a sp game u finish in 2 weeks tops so its not really a problem, the older the game the more info there is but at release u play with what u have
I can see your soul at the edges of your eyes..

Sure.. What can I say, I guess I'm just dumb and lazy like that, if only I knew Google existed beforehand.. damnit !
Not sure where you're going with this but okay !

I'll do that and delete my account on here so that you're satisfied, do not worry about it
Yeah, manually switching/updating DLSS files is super awesome and I hope NVIDIA nor gamedevs never put in any work to streamline the process at a driver/game updates level because I'm not incapable bitch, why the fuck would I even dare to ask them for that, lazy slob that I am
The fuck man Whatever floats your boat to make you feel good, but I'm done with this little side "conversation".

I have anxiety. Almost done everyting. And I mean EVERYTHING. Only have some minor side stuff left and the final main quest. What to do once you done everything? Seen people who have over 2000 hours in the game. I mean WTF. I have played 60-70 hours..

I have way more hours than you (120+ I believe), yet I'm nowhere close to you story or completion-wise I just get lost in it at times.. I basically waste a shit ton of time achieving not much, I'm not even really attempting to collect stuff and the such. A few games manage this level of immersion magic on me ! (talking about rdr2)

This game is a dark story, in a conceptual dark setting, happening in a rainbow world... The contrast is too big and almost unnatural.
Would rather see improvements in this direction (impossible probably) and see some dynamic gameplay elements. Man, Guild Wars 2 (the most SINGLE PLAYER MMORPG out there) did it so well with dynamic world events - that actually made sense.
I dunno about that. I was single playering GW2 like a a boss, but then the game keeps spitting in my face. Reached some nightmare tower at 4 in the morning, and that was a bummer. Had to quit for the night as there was no people around. There was one more thing like this but i forgot.
Then you have your items. You feel enemies getting harder and more complex, but you can't really upgrade your equipment without doing.. Fractals i think? But then you need to coop and looking at the list, it'll be both hard as fuck and time consuming as fuck to both do them and keep someone around without having to reform a group every single fractal thing.
